We are high school sweethearts who have been together since 2014! We first meet Sophomore year in an animal science class. We had a few classes together throughout high school but it wasn't until our Junior year that we really started talking. We were seated near each other in a history class. I was very into comic books and Batman at the time and so was John! We started talking about all things Batman and became friendly. At the end of class one day, he asked me to the back of the room and he looked so nervous! John was very into doing impressions at the time and tried to do a Joker impression to ask me out! He was so nervous that he wrote his phone number wrong! I tried to text him all weekend but nothing would go through. I found him the gym the following Monday. He looked a little sad and I told him I tried to text him that weekend but it didn't work. We both laughed and he put his correct number into my phone. From that point we texted all the time and got to know each other and planned our first date.

Our first date was at the Braintree AMC movie theater and we saw X-Men Days of Future Past. The first date went very well and we proceeded to go on more dates! We met each others families and went on vacations to New Hampshire and Disney World. We even went to many comic cons together (dressed up of course). After we graduated high school we stayed together while we went to college. College was a rough time for both of us as we figured out what we wanted to do for our careers. No matter what we supported each others dreams and goals and helped each other with class work. After college we settled into our jobs and continued to grow as a couple. John moved in with this best friend for a little while and eventually started talking about taking our relationship to the next level and getting a house. After house hunting for a little while, we finally got our little house. Shortly after that we went on vacation to Florida and he proposed!!

My mothers parents, who unfortunately passed away before I was born, got married when they were in their early 20s. My mother always told me my grandmother used to say she felt like she grew up with my grandfather. I always thought that was beautiful and I truly feel like John and I have grown up together as well. We are so excited to start our lives together and are so grateful our family and friends can join us for our special day!
