Nic and I met in the spring of 2012 at SCSU through mutual friends. Nic was a sophomore and I was a freshman. We had one of our conversations at McRudies (make some noise). Nic told me he was going to take her to a movie the next day and asked for my number; I informed him if he took me on a date he would fall in love with me... he failed to take me to a movie but he still fell in love! Our first date was in the McDonalds parking lot where we ate Apple pies and Mcflurries while we talked for four hours. We started "officially" dating in June 2012 and have been best friends ever since! Little did I know that four years later on this SAME boat this picture is taken on, he would propose to me!

Saturday August 6th 2016 has been the best day in our life so far. Earlier in the week Nic told me to get a new outfit because on Saturday we were going to go on a date. Which wasn't too weird to me because he had been in California the last couple weeks. So of course I go shopping and can't find anything the one time Nic is encouraging shopping. So Saturday comes and we get in the car after getting dressed up and I have no clue where we are going. I see we are heading toward Stillwater and really had no clue why because we never go there unless we are going to see my brother and his family. We park the car and Nic walks me into this biker bar thats on the river. We are easily way to overdressed for this place and I am so embarrassed. Then I see the same yacht pull up that we were on for my brothers grooms dinner. I started to have a feeling something was up. So we get on the boat and get some drinks and Nic is so awkward. So after about 15 long awkward minutes he asks me to come downstairs with him and in the same spot he first said I love you he asked me to be his wife! I of course said yes!
