"Well, we met in high school through mutual friends. We were friends for 6-7 months before we went through the 'talking' stage. Our official date is 8/18/12. We dated for a few years and then went our separate ways. We both agree that this was the best thing to happen to us for our relationship. We also joke that the first time we dated, it did not actually count. During this time apart, we were able to mature and grow in our own ways. When we eventually reconnected, we had a better understanding of who we are as adults and what we wanted out of a relationship. We knew that if we got back, it would be for life... Then Brennan took another seven years to propose!"
