Our Story

Our Story

Told from Paiges Perspective:

On March 6, 2020, we met on the dance floor of Moonshine Flats, a local country bar. Though COVID-19 hit one week later, we found ourselves spending a lot of quality time together; cooking, hiking and watching movies. At the time, I was completing my masters program at SDSU and Andrew was striving to build his career. Gravity kept pulling us together and in June of 2021, we took the step to officially become boyfriend and girlfriend.

After life was on pause due to the pandemic, things began to normalize and we began to seek adventure. Our first trip together was to Big Bear, where Andrew, Yogi, and I spent one night camping in the heat of the summer and treated ourselves to the cool lake during the day. We quickly learned that traveling, adventure, and quality time was our love language. Since dating, we have discovered the breathtaking beauty of some of US's National Parks, and on New Years Eve of 2021 at Zion National Park, we said we loved each other for the first time. Following Andrews first deployment, we ventured out to Europe and explored Switzerland (our favorite!), Italy, Austria, Germany and Lichtenstein. Each adventure, no matter how close or how far, has been filled with unforgettable memories.

In 2022, after Andrews first deployment, we took a major step in our relationship and moved in with each other. Sharing a home as a family of 3 (including our little fluffy dog Yogi), has been a fun experience. In January of 2023, we spontaneously welcomed, Stella, a new (and crazy!) puppy into our lives. She has truly brought a new kind of joy and chaos. Life has been fun with both pups, bringing them along on many of our adventures.

Over the past few years, we have spent time strengthening our cooking skills, competing in mini golf and bowling, hiking many beautiful locations, working hard in the gym, and exploring the beautiful place we call home--San Diego. Most importantly, the years spent so far have focused on the love and the meaning in our story.

Just this year, during a trip to the beautiful island of Kauai in February, Andrew took the step to ask me to marry him. It was truly a special trip and a major highlight in our relationship.

After being away for 6 months, we finally planned out all the details of our wedding. We decided for a small intimate courthouse wedding in San Diego with immediate family, where we exchanged rings and became one. It was one of the most special days of our lives.

As we continue this journey together, we are grateful for every moment we've shared and excited for all the adventures still to come. We have reached many milestones together such as personal and career successes, moving in together and now marriage. Our plan is to one day move back up to Pleasant Grove, where Andrews Family Farm is located, to work on his generational family farm and raise our children.

It truly is a blessed life.
