Our Wedding

Paige and Mark met in high school in 2018. Paige was a junior and Mark was a senior preparing to go to college at West Point in New York. They became friends and spent a lot of time together that year and even went to prom. Paige was drawn to Mark's spontaneity and sense of humor and Mark admired Paige's calm and confident demeanor. That being said, they decided to just stay friends since Mark was moving to New York in a few short months. Despite the long distance, they ended up staying in touch the following year and decided to start dating in April of 2019. They dated long distance for about 2 years while Paige was at UNC Charlotte, which meant many FaceTime calls, visits on breaks, and flowers in the mail, but, when Mark decided to transfer to UNC Charlotte for his senior year, the long distance was over! Paige and Mark have supported each other through many seasons of life, encouraged one another's faith, and have truly grown up together in a beautiful way. They are each other's best friends, favorite gym buddies, and greatest support systems. They got engaged in October of 2023 and cannot wait to start their life together this October!

Also! Feel free to refer to the groom as Mark James or Mark. The Lawson family calls him Mark James or MJ, but Paige and most of his friends call him Mark!

Rachel is Paige's older sister and built-in-best-friend. Despite having very different personalities and interests, Rachel and Paige have always had a tight bond and never have trouble finding new things to enjoy together and laugh about. Rachel has been the best support system (and third wheel) for Paige and Mark during this wedding season and she is so excited for Mark to join the family.

Rachel Robinson

Abby is Paige's long-term best friend. They were basically joined at the hip from middle school to college and have made many memories together along the way. They created an iconic setter/hitter duo in high school volleyball and even roomed together at UNC Charlotte. Paige and Abby's close bond is irreplaceable and Paige is so excited to have Abby's lively personality supporting her on the big day.

Abigail Bates

Tyler is one of Paige's closest friends. They met and quickly bonded while working together as baristas. They love trying new restaurants and coffee shops, dissecting every part of their day (oftentimes with Rachel), and going on annual trips to NYC! Tyler's calm energy and sweet nature will be much needed during this wedding season and Paige is so thankful to have Tyler by her side as she enters marriage.

Tyler Helms

Emily is one of Paige's best friends. They worked together briefly, but their friendship truly sparked over wine nights, watching bad reality TV, and yapping for hours. They appreciate each other's similar qualities and always find themselves on the same wavelength. Emily's fun and energetic personality lights up any room and Paige cannot wait to enjoy this wedding season with Emily as part of her pack.

Emily Volker

Ellen is Paige's cousin (and skit co-writer). Ellen and her twin brother, Will, have always been close to Paige and her siblings growing up. From Tar Heel games, to turkey bowls, to mall hide and seek, the five cousins are always finding new ways to have fun together. Ellen is always up for a good time and Paige is thrilled to have her be a part of the wedding party and the big day.

Ellen Robinson

Hayley is Mark's older sister. Growing up with Mark, Hayley is one of the only other people that understands Mark's craziness and antics like Paige does. They have become closer friends over the years and Paige is excited to not only enjoy the wedding season together, but also to be gaining such a kind, supportive, and intelligent new sister.

Hayley Lawson

Luke is Mark's older brother. Luke and Mark grew up playing a lot of basketball, traveling frequently together with their AAU teams. Often mistaken for twins, Luke and Mark share many similar qualities and interests, although, Mark considers Luke the funnier of the two. They get along well, as long as Luke does not burn down Mark's Minecraft house.

Luke Lawson

Jameson is one of Mark's dearest and oldest friends. The two of them have shared many memories over the years, whether that be working together at a moving company, collaborating with various musical artists, or just playing Halo (on Legendary). Mark is excited to have Jameson and his silliness alongside him on the big day.

Jameson Lang

Mark initially met Cole in the school cafeteria in 8th grade. Once they entered high school, their relationship grew as they enjoyed many extracurricular activities together. Despite living hours apart and pursuing different aspirations after high school, Mark and Cole have always kept in close contact. Mark is thankful to have a lifelong friend like Cole supporting him as he enters this new season of life.

Cole Hammond

Mark and Timmy became friends during Mark's senior year of high school. They have helped each other with various creative endeavors over the years, although their greatest memories are probably hiking in the mountains and playing Super Smash Bros. Mark is grateful to have a supportive buddy like Timmy by his side throughout this wedding season and on the big day.

Timmy Shawley

Mark met Michel during their senior year of high school. They were teammates on the basketball team and quickly became friends off the court. Michel is a talented musician and cook, and subsequently has shared these skills with Mark over the years. Mark is excited to have Michel in his corner as he steps into this next chapter.

Michel Spoto

Mac is Paige's younger brother. Before Paige and Mark's relationship even began, Mac and Mark were both basketball teammates and worship bandmates in high school. Mac played the keys while Mark played the six string. Mac is excited for Mark to join the family and maybe the band will get back together in the future.

Please note that due to the wedding venue's remote location, Uber and similar transportation services cannot be used after the wedding reception. You CAN use these services to get TO the venue but WILL NOT be able to when leaving. A private shuttle will be provided at the end of the reception that will transport guests from the venue (523 Pea Ridge Rd, New Hill, NC 27562) to the Hyatt House Raleigh Durham Airport (10962 Chapel Hill Rd, Morrisville, NC 27560). If you would like to RESERVE A SEAT on this shuttle, please let us know when you RSVP. Anyone is welcome to reserve a seat on the shuttle even if you are not planning to stay at the Hyatt House, as you may use this shuttle to get to the Hyatt House and then Uber from there to where you are staying. Cars can be left overnight at the wedding venue but must be picked up by 10 am the following day.
