It all started with a right swipe.
We met on Bumble. Neither of us had ever gone on a date from the app before, but something about our conversation felt easy — so we decided to meet in the middle at a little Cupcake and Coffee shop in Renton. What was supposed to be a simple coffee date turned into hours of talking, laughing, and losing track of time. We stayed until the coffee shop closed and even though I tried to play hard to get, Connor knew I was so excited to go out with him again.
From that first date on, things just felt right. As we grew together, we shared so many little moments that became big memories — moving into our first apartment together, getting a dog, experiencing Covid and lockdown, and moving into our home with 3 roommates, to now living alone with Bee.
Thanks to Connor’s incredibly generous parents, we’ve had the chance to explore some amazing places together. Two of our favorite trips have been to Austin and San Diego, where our next chapter began.
During a spring break getaway to San Diego, Connor surprised me with a stay at a resort we had dreamed of staying at on our last visit. One evening, we headed to Torrey Pines to watch the sunset. As the sun started to set over the cliffs, Connor got down on one knee — and a photographer he had secretly hired captured every moment. It was perfect in every way.
But beyond the big trips and milestones, I knew Connor was the one during the hardest times that came early in our relationship. When life threw challenges my way, he stood by me without hesitation. His steady love and unwavering support made it clear: this is forever.
Now, we’re building our little family — just us and our sweet pup, Honeybee — and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all the people we love most.
