Our Wedding

Avery and Paige have known each other for many years. They both like to disagree on how they first met. Avery claims they met working at Jacks Restaurant when he was a busboy, and she was a waitress. Paige claims they met at a party with mutual friends there. They shared many friends together and always caught themselves talking together at parties. They also shared a mutual love for the outdoors, hunting, and fishing which gave them lots to talk about. Eventually after years of knowing each other, Avery tried to reach out to Paige. It took him a couple of times of asking her to hangout, until she finally agreed to it. Instantly, they had a connection with each other. They officially started dating on November 13th, 2021. Since then, the couple started to build a life together. They started out in a long-distance relationship for over a year, until Paige decided to move back to The UP from Appleton to be closer together. The couple moved into their first house together in August of 2023 in Rapid River, MI. Not long after being back to the UP, they were surprised with the best gift ever...their first child! Reid Closs, born on January 31st, 2024, was the biggest blessing for the couple. A couple months after Reid was born, Avery proposed to Paige while out turkey hunting in the woods. She immediately said YES. The couple has been anxiously waiting for the day they can finally say I do.

Not only is Jordan the cherished sister of the bride but, she is also a built-in best friend. She has been there for Paige throughout each stage of life, including becoming the best aunt to her son, Reid. Anyone that knows Jordan and Paige knows they can argue until the sun comes up, but their loyalty to each other will never stop.

Shannon is one of Paige's lifelong best friends. They first became friends in kindergarten at 5 years old and they have been by each other's side since. Shannon's ability to be compassionate all the time along with her positive personality makes her a one-of-a-kind friend.

Riley and Paige first became friends when they worked at Jack's Restaurant together. They shared many laughs having sleepovers and garage beers at Paige's parents' house. Riley's spunky, loud, outgoing personality is one of the many reasons Paige and her are best friends.

Abbie and Paige first met at nursing school and very quickly became best friends. They bonded over late nights studying together and spending Tuesday nights at The Wooden Nickel. Abbie is a kind and generous friend that Paige will always cherish.

Jaden is not only a cousin of Paige's, but she is also one of her best friends. The two of them share a countless number of unforgettable memories, most of them being at their favorite shared placed, Camp 7. Jaden is one of the most thoughtful and giving people. She has always been there for Paige, through thick and thin. #KTBO #richgirl

Zoie has been a best friend of Paige's for around 14 years. Some of the best years of their friendship was being roommates in Appleton, where they went shopping all the time and got iced coffee way too much. Zoie is a loyal friend who is always there to listen and help when needed.

A block of rooms have been blocked off for any guests wishing to stay at the casino. It is approximately a 4-minute drive from reception location.

The Island Resort & Casino

There will be shuttle service provided for guests from The Island Resort & Casino at 4:30pm to the reception location, and from the reception hall at 11pm back to the casino.

This hotel is approximately a 12-minute drive from reception location.

Comfort Suites

Depending on if you use google maps or Apple Maps to get to the ceremony location it may take you different ways. Apple Maps is on the right. The road that is highlighted “fastest” is mostly pavement (County Rd 511). Google Maps is on the left. The road that is highlighted is mostly gravel (County Rd 503). Country Rd 503 is almost completely gravel, so if you want to avoid gravel take County Rd 511. We will have signs to help you along the way!
