On November 8, 2019, Paige and Ethan had their first "real" conversation. Before that date, they had only known of each other for 11 years. To Paige, Ethan was just the annoying kid who was always causing a ruckus and could not seem to stay out of trouble. However, Ethan did not even know Paige existed. Then around their middle school and early high school years, they started to notice each other and later became attracted to each other. On November 8, 2019, Paige's family attended Ethan's high school football game to watch his brother's last home football game. Paige noticed that Ethan Reid wore the same jersey number as her, the amazing #12, and her dad insisted that she go, be social, and tell him they wore the same jersey number and that is when it all started (yes, Paige's dad still denies setting them up to this day). 10 days later, on November 18, 2019, they confessed to having feeling for each other and have never been separated since that day!

How we met

For the past 6 years, they knew they were each other's person; however, they knew they had to wait until Paige graduated college with her BSN. During the summer and early fall, Ethan created a plan to pop the question they had both been waiting on for so long. He explained to Paige that Skylar, American Hat Company's social media and marketing director, wanted new catalog photos and that the president insisted it be couple photos. Ethan explained this situation to Paige and asked her if she wanted to do it. Paige agreed to the photoshoot. Ethan, in keeping her off the engagement radar, had told her days before that the ring company messed the ring up and told her she will have to wait longer than she was expecting. She fell for this trick and was not expecting him to get on one knee in the near future. On October 29, 2025, they scheduled the photoshoot, got all dressed up, and headed for the stockyards. He knew she wanted the moment to be just the two of them and a photographer, so he took her behind Hotel Drover where he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She obviously said YES, and their forever started!

Paige met Brooklyn during nursing school, where long study sessions and shared experiences quickly turned into a lasting friendship. As time went on, study sessions quickly turned into ranting sessions as their friendship fostered. Through the challenges and milestones along the way, she has been a constant source of encouragement and joy, making it especially meaningful to have her as a bridesmaid on this special day.

Paige met Serena while she attended Tarleton State University, where they became roommates and quickly formed a close bond. From late-night talks to everyday adventures, their friendship has grown through shared memories and unwavering support. It means so much to have her standing by the bride’s side on this special day.
