If you know Josh and Paige, you know their story is not like most..

When Josh and Paige first met, Kaydance had introduced them. She was so excited for Josh to meet her mom because he was going to be Delta's pre-school teacher, so on the very last day of her 1st grade year, Kaydance brought Josh out to meet her mom. Up until this day, Kaydance had refused to talk to Josh around school, she was terrified of him. Josh got to meet Delta at a home visit for pre-school, where Delta sat quietly crying into her work book while we chatted about Delta. Fast forward over the next year and a half, Josh and Paige got to slowly know each other a bit better having some conversations at pick up or drop off, pushing kids on the swings at the school after family night, and even at the girls birthday party.

This birthday party was the beginning of something beautiful, and we didn't know it. Depending on which one of us you talk to, the story may look a little different, I'm just going to tell you the truth...

After the birthday party was all finished and presents had been packed away, Paige had the kids hand Josh a birthday card since his was coming up soon. Paige then invited Josh out for drinks for his birthday. (Josh might tell you a different story here..). A couple of weeks went by before they could get together, but when they were finally able to get together, they spent hours, just talking and laughing together. They had both expressed interest in going on a date, and Paige beat Josh to it, by asking him to go on an actual date.

Josh planned their first date and took Paige to pottery by you where they made creations to remind each other of that first date. Then they went to dinner at House of Sushi and eventually back to Paige's place where they stayed up late talking and laughing. From that day on they were inseparable, they talked every day and have been together every day except when Josh goes for his yearly jelly making trip with his family and Paige's work trip and one trip to see her sister in Colorado.

Before they knew it, they had spent 6 weeks together, the kids enjoyed Josh coming over and hanging out all the time. Henzley was starting to open up to Josh and allow him to hold her hand and talk to her. If you know Henz, she is extremely shy, so this was a big step for her. Paige had a feeling the life was about to change though..

This is when Paige found out that she was pregnant. She was absolutely terrified to tell Josh, thinking he would be upset. Josh finally convinced Paige to tell him what was going on and while he was internally panicking because it was happening so fast, he kept calm and comforted Paige. Josh had wanted to be a dad his whole adult life and while we already had 3 girls in the mix this would be a new adventure for him.

Over the next 9 months, Josh went above and beyond for Paige and the girls. Paige had some complications due to the pregnancy which made it harder for her to do as much as she used to. Josh picked up every ounce of slack and never let it phase him. He was truly the most amazing partner you could have asked for. Paige had requested to not find out the gender of the baby during the pregnancy and Josh was 100% on board.

May 13, 2024, we welcomed our 4th and final baby into this world.. while it was not the way we had wanted we are so thankful our baby is safe and healthy. We went into the hospital to do a medical procedure to turn our breach baby into the head down position and be induced. This was an experience that we would never want to relive. Josh had to watch from the corner of the room as the doctor and PA manipulated the baby in Paige's belly, while Paige cried in pain. They continued for what felt like 10 minutes, but was probably much less. When they placed the doppler back on Paige's belly, the baby's heart rate was tanking and baby was in distress. They rushed Paige from the room and into the OR, by the time Paige reached the OR baby's heart rate was stable and they were able to keep Paige awake while they prepped Josh in another room to join Paige in the OR. Soon, they were able to meet their baby BOY, Zayre, and finally become a family of 6. Josh had some "allergies" in this moment and Paige had some big emotions as well, so happy to finally meet our little creation. The girls were over the moon about having a little brother to snuggle on.

On October 20, 2024, Josh decided to take the family for a drive around Casper, going to quite a few spots with very cherished memories. He explained what each spot meant to him and the memory that went along with those spots, until finally the kids blind folded Paige and they drove to one final spot. The girls helped Paige get out of the car and walk around the car still blind folded. They took her blind fold off and there was Josh, down on one knee asking Paige to spend the rest of forever making memories filled with love, laughter, and happiness with him. Of course Paige said yes, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this today.

Since this day, Josh and Paige have had plenty of chaos. They decided Josh's car was much too small, they made the decision to not expand the family again, they listed their home and bought their first home together, Paige started a new job, and here we are getting married. We couldn't have accomplished all of this without the support of our families and friends.
