What is the dress code?
The dress code is Black Tie optional. Our venue is called 'The Gatsby' for a reason; it is a STUNNING, historical location rich with charm and original craftsmanship. We want our guests to look, and feel their best. Use this as a perfect excuse to dress to the nines! The bridesmaids and groomsmen will be dressed in black, but there is no color off limits (other than white). We encourage our guests to lean into the Black Tie apparel, but by no means are men required to wear a tuxedo. Please, no blue jeans, shorts, mini skirts, mini dresses, tennis shoes, flip flops, or caps.
What is the Welcome Party?
The 'Welcome Party' is a chance for our guests to come and enjoy cocktails, light bites, and mingle the night before the big day! We are fortunate enough to have our entire venue for the whole weekend, and we know that several guests will be traveling in from out of town. So as a thank you (and one more excuse to party), we will be hosting a 'Welcome Party' the night before from 8:00PM - 10:00PM at our venue for anyone and everyone who would like to join. The dress code for this event will be Cocktail attire. Please RSVP accordingly.
What time is the Wedding?
Our ceremony will start promptly at 3:30 PM, due to the time of the year. However, our venue doors will be open at 2:55 PM for welcome cocktails. We highly suggest to arrive before 3:20 PM to have a moment to settle in, and enjoy the venue and all it has to offer. The exterior doors will be locked at 3:25 and will reopen after the ceremony concludes.
Are kids welcome?
We love your little ones, however, this is a night designed for adults only, 21+. We all want to have fun!
Can I bring a guest/date?
We are striving to achieve a very intimate ceremony & reception, with our closest friends and family. In order to stay on track with our guest list, your invitation will be made out to "{Your Name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.
Where can you park?
Our venue is located on Main Street, with extremely limited parking availability. However, there is free public parking lots available within walking distance to our venue, as well as ample street parking. Exact location of parking lots are as follows; MAIN STREET PARKING (621 Main St, Shelbyville KY 40065). STARGAZER PLAZA (620 Henry Clay St, Shelbyville KY 40065)
What if I cannot make it?
You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it, please respond 'NO' on your RSVP. If you have already RSVP'd and you are now unable to make it, please reach out to Paige or Blake personally and let us know, so we can plan accordingly.
Is there a hotel block?
Yes, we currently have two hotel blocks, as well as several Airbnb recommendations, all within 15 minutes of our Venue. All are linked under our “Travel” section.
Can we take pictures?
We will be having a completely unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we will ask that all phones to be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best moments, which we will absolutely share with you.
