WHAT ARE THE SUGGESTED TRAVEL DATES?

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be held on May 11, 2025. However, we want nothing more than for our friends and family to enjoy a VACATION. To maximize your vacation time, enjoy excursions, the wedding, and all of the amenities offered in your all-inclusive package, we recommend the following date range: May 9 – May 13, 2025 (The resort has a 3-night minimum stay requirement.) Please feel free to arrive as early in advance as you'd like and stay at the resort for as long as you'd like. Group rates are valid for up to seven nights stay based on availability at the time of reservation. If you'd like to stay even longer, please inquire with Just Book It Travel Destination Weddings on availability / rates for extended stays.

Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

Only guests who are explicitly invited with a "plus guest" notation on their invitation are permitted to bring a companion to the wedding ceremony and reception. - Anyone is welcome to join for the vacation aspect of the event, regardless of whether they are invited to the wedding festivities.

WHAT IF MY POTENTIAL TRAVEL COMPANION IS TBD, UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME, OR NOT READY TO BOOK?

Book without them and add them to your reservation at a later time. Since prices and availability are subject to change, be sure to reserve the room for just yourself and we can add them when they are ready. Solo occupancy hotel rates are sometimes higher than double occupancy. When we add your travel companion in the future, you'll recognize the double occupancy savings. Rates are refreshed at the time future changes are made.

DO I HAVE THE OPTION TO PURCHASE TRAVEL PROTECTION?

Absolutely! We HIGHLY recommend booking travel protection along with your itinerary. Just like other investments (house, car, health, jewelry), the travel protection plan helps to protect your travel investment from any unforeseen circumstances that may arise before or during your trip. It is recommended that the travel protection plan be purchased initially with the deposit, however, insurance can be added within 10 days of making a reservation. If you are looking for independent, outside coverage that is purchased separately, please do your research and book with any trusted travel protection provider as soon as possible. Cancellation fees are non-refundable, except through qualified travel protection reimbursements. The insurance policies cover FULL CANCELATIONS. Partial cancellations are non-refundable and are not covered by this policie.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

The $50 deposit is non-refundable. We strongly recommend that each guest purchase Trip Protection from any trusted supplier. Final balances are due January 9, 2025. All rooms and room nights are non-refundable following January 9, 2025, and any applicable refunds must be requested from your travel protection supplier. Example 1: Guest pays balance in full prior to January 9, 2025, and cancels prior to January 9, 2025. The $50 deposit is non-refundable. All other partial payments will be refunded. (Guests with travel protection insurance are refunded the $50 per guest deposit.). Example 2. Guest pays balance in full prior to January 9, 2025, and cancels following January 9, 2025. All payments are non-refundable following January 9, 2025. (Please file a claim directly with your Trip Protection provider for any non-refundable fees)

ARE CHILDREN INVITED?

Only children who are designated members of the wedding party are permitted to attend. Children are welcome to join for the vacation aspect but are kindly requested not to participate in any of the wedding festivities.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK WITH JUST BOOK IT TRAVEL?

YES PLEASE! The only way to RSVP for our wedding festivities is to book using our wedding website's booking page. We request that all guests ONLY utilize our dedicated planner and travel coordinators at Just Book It Travel, whom we have hired to manage our guest list, room block, and all travel logistics for our wedding. This helps us to keep the entire group organized and included in our planned events, and informed of logistics and frequent updates. Everyone will receive a group discount, so you’ll always pay less than the internet rates by using Just Book It Travel, and most importantly, you'll receive concierge-level service from them. Additionally, Just Book It Travel has flexible payment plans, making your travel arrangements even more affordable and convenient. If you've ever tried to contact an online travel company to make changes or cancellations, you'll appreciate the benefit of using a local, boutique travel agency (especially during times of uncertainty).

WHAT IS THE CHECK-IN TIME?

Check-in is at 3:00 pm. Rooms are generally not available until then. If you arrive before 3:00 pm, you can use all of the amenities, pools, and restaurants, and the hotel will let you know when your room is ready. We suggest guests travel with beach clothes in their carry-on bags to enjoy their travel day immediately upon arrival.

WHAT DOES "ALL-INCLUSIVE" MEAN?

Hotel Xcaret Mexico offers: Free airport - hotel - airport ground transportation, all you can eat (gourmet restaurants and buffets), All you can drink (alcohol, mixed drinks, daiquiris, and non-alcoholic beverages), Entertainment (the resort will have daily and nightly activities including shows and a night club), Water Sports (kayaking, paddle boarding, and other non-motorized water sports are typically included), Room Service includes 24-hour room service of food. Additionally, Hotel Xcaret Mexico offers an All Fun Inclusive Plan. Hotel Xcaret Mexico offers unlimited access to seven (7) Parks: Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xoximilco, Xenses and Xavage, as well as deluxe Tours to Xenotes and Xichen, with round-trip transportation included. Absolutely! As long as the resort has availability for your travel dates. For your convenience, we have pre-selected the most popular rooms on our wedding website's booking pages. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO FIND GOOD FLIGHT DEALS?

We suggest setting up flight alerts. Our favorite is Google flights because it includes a wider range of airlines. Use search engines to find the best deal, but remember to book the flight itself directly via the airline to maximize your flexibility if your plans were to change. Homework: Once your flights are booked, please provide us with your flight details so that we can arrange your ground transportation from the airport to the resort, and vice versa.

DO I NEED TO HAVE MY PASSPORT PRIOR TO MAKING MY DEPOSIT FOR THE TRIP?

Passports are not required UNTIL guest travel. As long as you provide the hotel with your full legal name, you can arrange travel in advance by RSVPing. Expedited Passports now can take up to 12 weeks - we do recommend getting your passport as soon as possible. Please allow 12-16 weeks for standard passport applications to process following your scheduled appointment with a passport "acceptance facility." If you do not obtain your passport prior to travel, you are responsible for any associated cancellation fees.

DOES EVERY GUEST NEED A PASSPORT TO TRAVEL?

YES! Each guest must have a valid passport to travel. **Reminder: please check the EXPIRATION DATE on your passport! It must have an expiration date covering your full stay.

WHICH AIRPORT SHOULD I ARRIVE/DEPART?

You should fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN).

HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE RESORT?

Shared Transportation from the airport to the resort, and from the resort to the airport are included with your room stay. Please provide your flight information to our Just Book It Travel coordinators so they can notify the resort about your arrival and departure times. The (included) shared transportation service picks up guests arriving at the airport every 30 minutes during the majority of the day. WILL I NEED CASH? WHAT ELSE SHOULD I PACK? IF THIS IS MY FIRST INTERNATIONAL TRIP, OR FIRST TRIP IN A LONG TIME, HOW CAN I BEST PREPARE?

We recommend that all guests read this Pre-Travel Checklist as prepared by Just Book It Travel, to ensure a seamless travel experience. All confirmed guests will receive very detailed traveling instructions 7-10 days prior to travel.
