It was the fall of 2013 and in the first semester at Susquehanna University, I was in the Smith Hall kitchenette connecting the North side and South side of the building, just about to start making my ramen. Before heating up this college delicacy, I was studying for an upcoming Psychology exam and in walks a tall guy, patiently waiting to make some Easy Mac.
I was just about finished with a reading assignment so let the guy know that he could heat up his Easy Mac first. He refused to make his Easy Mac until I made my ramen so with that, we struck up a conversation as I recognized him from Psych class.
Once we began the conversation, it didn’t stop and was never dull. With Cory from Long Island and me from a farm in Maryland, we quickly realized how different our worlds are but could never anticipate the wild journey that started 10+ years ago in a Smith Hall kitchen.
Needless to say, ramen, Easy Mac and SU will always have a special place in our hearts. We hope you can enjoy this special celebration with us!
