One of the most beautiful overlook views of the Catskills (second to Onteora). There is a short walk to the overlook site, and options to take hikes up to Artist's Rock or down (many many natural steps) to take a dip in the Kaaterskill Falls pool. Olana is our favorite places to take our pups for a walk. There are over 3 miles of trails (ranging from easy to challenging), and a beautiful view of the Hudson River, Catskill Mountains, and the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. There are wonderful tours of the house which was designed by Fredric Church, one of the Hudson Valley School Painters, and was his family home. Things to Do

WHERE CAN I STAY THE WEEKEND OF THE WEDDING?

We have wedding blocks at two hotels, listed under the Hotels &amp; Travel page. Hotels book up quickly in the Hudson Valley during the summer months, so book asap! There are many other hotels in the area, as well as countless AirBnB and VRBO options.

HOW CAN I GET TO AND FROM THE VENUE FROM THE HOTEL?

We will be providing transportation from the 2 hotels as noted on the Hotels &amp; Travel page.Uber, Lyft and other private car service companies can be used but please beware that they're not as readily available in Boiceville, NY as you may be used to.

IS THERE PARKING AT ONTEORA MOUNTAIN HOUSE?

Yes, there is parking at the venue, but it is limited. We recommend taking the provided transportation or carpooling.

what should I wear?

The dress code is formal (aka cocktail) attire. Ladies, we recommend wearing block heels or flats (or bring both!) because there are grassy and cobblestone areas at the venue.

Is there a vegetarian dinner option?

Yes! The vegetarian dish is Cacio e Pepe, which is spaghetti with Parmesan cheese and black pepper.

Our Story

Allison and Pam are a match made in heaven the RISD quad. Fast friends since the first day of class, to travel buddies, roommates, and friends forever.

Jillian and Pam met a couple weeks before their first day at Mount Saint Charles (7th grade), both are from North Providence, and then roommates in Astoria. They share a love for cooking, eating and daydreaming.
