Our Love Story

Picture of Our Love Story

In April 1973, Pam (18) was working at Grand Auto in Dublin, CA, where she first met the love of her life, Joseph (21).

Joseph kept asking Pam if she’d like to go to lunch but it wasn’t until he changed his tactic (being used to improvising, adapting, and overcoming as a US Marine) that she agreed. Joseph’s strategic inquiry of, “so when are you taking me out to lunch?” met Pam’s reply, “I won’t take you out to lunch, but you can take me!” Keep in mind, at that “date” Pam only ordered a chocolate shake as she didn’t want to be “in debt” and only had enough money to cover the cost of a shake.

The handsome, charming, and confident smooth operator, Joseph, soon captured Pam’s heart and in October 1973 they became engaged. The wedding was held on September 14, 1974, at John Knox Presbyterian Church in Dublin, CA. They were blessed on November 30, 1976, with the joyful birth of their only living child, Stacy Noelle Williams (later married to Marcus Cameron, June 16, 2001).

A song at Pam and Joe's wedding was John Denver’s, “Follow Me” and Pam (with Stacy) followed Joe’s career which required a move at every promotion mostly with Bridgestone / Firestone. After 50 years and 14 moves, they have mostly retired and settled in Copperopolis, CA.

To summarize their 50 year love story, it wouldn’t be complete without rejoicing at the birth of their grandchildren, Samantha Noelle (16) and Luke Raymond Joseph (14) Cameron. They are blessed abundantly watching them grow up and discover their many talents.

Concluding with John Denver's, Follow Me, lyrics:

"You see I'd like to share my life with you

And show you things I've seen,

Places that I'm going to

Places where I've been

To have you there beside me

To never be alone

And all the time that you're with me,

We will be at home."
