Donald and Pari first crossed paths at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in the late summer of 2021. At the time, Donald was immersed in his second year of pharmacy post-graduate training, while Pari was navigating her fourth year of clinical rotations. They began exchanging texts during their shifts, and with every message, an undeniable attraction blossomed between them. However, they didn’t start dating until Pari neared the end of her training.

Donald patiently waited to ask Pari out on a date. On June 11, 2021, their first date unfolded at Papi's, a lively Mexican restaurant filled with vibrant decor. They shared a plate of nachos, and with each bite, their conversation flowed effortlessly, brimming with laughter and stories. After the meal, they strolled to Pitango's for gelato and decided to savor their treats by the water at a nearby pier. As they admired the tranquil waves, a spectacular fireworks display illuminated the night sky, drawing them even closer. In that magical moment, they both felt their love story was just beginning.

From then on, Donald and Pari embarked on countless adventures together—exploring amusement parks, hiking scenic trails, and traveling to exciting cities like Las Vegas, London, and Cancun. Their bond deepened until, on September 16, 2023, Donald decided it was time to take the next step. He meticulously planned a surprise proposal, keeping it a secret from Pari. The day started out pleasantly ordinary as he took her to one of the best Thai restaurants in Queens, NY, where they savored drunken noodles and fragrant curry.

Afterward, they visited Cafe Bench for one of Pari’s favorite treats—a chocolatey crepe. Satiated and happy, Donald suggested a walk at Corona Park, unaware that their lives were about to change forever. As they approached the iconic massive globe, Donald dropped to one knee and proposed. With tears of joy and laughter at his cutesy jokes, Pari said YES! Their love continues to flourish with each passing day.
