Details

While we had many connections in a small town, we officially met on the first day of 9th grade in English class. Walker took the open seat next to Parker, and we quickly got to know each other. We started dated on August 30th, 2014 and haven't looked back. From high school sweethearts to college, we have truly grown up together and share so many cherished memories. On our wedding day, we will have been together over 11 years.Walker proposed on January 17th, 2025 in Lafayette Square in downtown Savannah with just the two of us and our boykin spaniel, Gus. We are so excited to be starting the next chapter of our lives together!

Airport

For our out of state guests, we recommend flying into the Savannah airport. It is located about 20 minutes from downtown Savannah and recommended hotels.

When choosing lodging, please be advised that our venues are located in the South Historic District. There are many hotels and short-term rentals in downtown Savannah, but we recommend the hotels below as they are the closest to our venues.

0.6 mile to the ceremony venue and 1 mile from the reception venue.

Dinner

If you want a spot on River St, this is the place. The shrimp and grits are the best in town! Reservations suggested.

Vic's River Grill

Fresh, elevated casual dinner spot with a rotating menu. Artillery next door is a great spot to grab a drink before or after.

The Public Kitchen & Bar

Classic, southern fare in one of Savannah’s oldest homes. Reservation required in advance.

The Olde Pink House

Lunch

One of Walker and I’s favorite lunch spots to hang out on a Saturday. Don’t let the name fool you, the food is great. However, this was the first place to open after prohibition ended. The crab stew is a must!

Crystal Beer Parlor

Easy sandwich and salad lunch spot. Parker recommends the Prosciutto sandwich, and Walker recommends the Pastrami.

Urban Deli

This restaurant is located by the Thunderbolt Marina, which is on the way to Wilmington or Tybee Island. It’s a favorite for a casual lunch or dinner. Must order the praline cheesecake!

Always a go to coffee stop on Liberty St.

Franklin's

A coffee shop and market. A great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee browsing or outside on their patio!

Asher + Rye Cafe

We obviously enjoy this Texas-inspired coffee shop. The horchata latte is a must!

Activities

Jones St is known as “Savannah’s prettiest street”. Pop into One Fish, Two Fish and Jones and Bull for great home finds.

Stroll Down Jones Street

On Saturdays from 9 AM-1 PM, Forsyth Park has a wonderful farmers market. Whether you want fresh produce, meat, baked goods and even art, they have it. This is Parker's favorite way to spend a Saturday morning!

Forsyth Farmers' Market

Broughton St is a great for a mix of local and larger chain stores and restaurants. Walker's favorites: J. Parker LTD and Rivers &amp; Glen Trading CompanyParker's Favorites: The Paris Market, Copper Penny, Globe Shoe Company and Savannah Bee Company
