The groom’s wedding procession, a lively and joyous celebration that marks his journey to the wedding venue. Accompanied by family and friends, the groom arrives in grand style—while the Baraatis (guests) dance to the beats of dhols (drums) and music, symbolizing the groom’s excitement to begin his new life with his bride.
4:00 PM–5:00 PM
Jai Mala
Marking the first official step in the wedding ceremony, Jai Mala is the ceremonial exchange of flower garlands between the bride and groom. It symbolizes mutual respect, acceptance, and the beginning of their journey as a married couple.
4:30 PM–6:00 PM
Saath Phere
Saath Phere, translates to Seven Sacred Circles and is the most significant ritual of a Hindu wedding. It symbolizes the couple's commitment to uphold the marriage across seven lifetimes (janams). As they walk around the sacred fire (Agni), they pledge love, respect, loyalty, and lifelong companionship.
