This story starts 20 years ago when one fated day, Simran and Parveen were seated next to each other in their Spanish class in high school. Parveen wasn't much of a talker, but Simran was and boy did he get her attention! The chemistry was instant but the timing was not. Life led these two down their own paths until fate brought them back together.

As luck would have it, these two ran into each other 14 years later where Simran finally built up the courage to ask Parveen what he wanted to so many years ago.. would you like to go on a date with me? Thankfully, she said yes!

After 6 years together, weathering life’s storms with joys and sorrows, these two finally decided to wed. On November 13 of 2022, the two were celebrating their anniversary in Napa at Morimoto’s Restaurant. The evening was beautiful and as they wined, dined, reminisced, and laughed, their beautiful energy caught the attention of the restaurant’s GM and Chef Morimoto himself. They joined them for a drink and lively conversation commenting on how lovely the couple was and joking that they’d love to invited to an Indian wedding. As special as a moment like that was, Simran decided to do something even more special, something he had been holding in his heart for quite some time. Simran got the attention of the entire restaurant and in the brief moment where Parveen turned to see the crowd that had gathered, he was down on one knee with his father’s wedding ring in hand asking Parveen, “Babe will you marry me?” With tears in her eyes and love in her heart, Parveen excitedly said yes!

Now with the love of their families and the blessings of their late fathers, Simran and Parveen will finally become Mr. & Mrs. Johal!
