Some people meet on a blind date. Some at church. Some at work. And some — well, depending on who you ask — meet at the airport Chick-fil-A. According to&nbsp;Wyatt’s&nbsp;version of the story (which he tells with such confidence it’s hard not to believe), it all started with a craving for chicken. One ordinary August day in 2024, he woke up with an overwhelming, soul-stirring need for Chick-fil-A. So naturally, he did what any rational man would do: he booked a plane ticket. Not for a trip — just for the food. As fate would have it, while standing in line at the airport Chick-fil-A, sauce packet in hand, he saw&nbsp;her. A pretty girl with a boarding pass to Arizona and a smile that made him forget all about his order. In a rare moment of courage (or maybe it was the smell of waffle fries giving him strength), he asked for her number. “For when you get back from your trip,” he said, like a seasoned rom-com lead. Now, that’s his story. Here’s what actually happened: Patricia and Wyatt met online in August of 2024. Their first date was at a cozy local coffee shop, where the conversation flowed as easily as the caffeine. To their surprise, they quickly discovered they knew many of the same people — a reminder that sometimes the world is smaller than we think, and sometimes God weaves stories together in quiet ways. As the weeks passed, filled with long walks, deeper conversations, and probably a few more cups of coffee, it became clear they shared more than mutual friends. They shared values. They shared faith. They shared laughter and the same goofy sense of humor (see: airport Chick-fil-A story). And most importantly, they shared the sense that something about this felt different — peaceful, steady, and right. After a few dates and a few more heartfelt conversations, Patricia and Wyatt realized they’d found what they’d both been hoping for — not just someone to share Chick-fil-A with, but someone to share life with.

Although there are no hotels very close to Birch Hill, there are some located in East Greenbush, which is about 15-20 minutes north. We do not have any set room blocks, but we included these for your convenience. There are also homes available on Airbnb in Valatie, East Greenbush, and Kinderhook for larger groups!
