Google maps shows 29.3 miles from T.F. Green to the venue, Gardiner House 24 Lee’s Wharf Newport, RI #401-436-0400. It is an approximate 40 minute drive. There is a toll to go over the Claiborne Pell Newport bridge.

What is the dress code?

Dress is semi-formal. For men, we suggest a suit, blazer or button down with pants. For women, a dress, jumpsuit or dressy separates would all work. No color scheme required and no color restriction!

Where is the ceremony taking place?

When is the RSVP deadline?

Invitations will be sent at the end of August. Kindly RSVP by the 27 Sep deadline. Please be sure to note any dietary restrictions or food allergies on your RSVP card.

What if I cannot make it?

You will be missed, but we completely understand. Please RSVP “no” as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

What will the weather be like around the wedding date?

Although we cannot predict the exact weather, temperatures in Newport, RI in early November historically average 55 degrees in the day and 40 degrees at night.

Where should we park at the wedding venue?

Yes, there is parking at the venue. There is a parking lot in front of the building and some spots are covered. Under the covered parking area is an elevator vs. having to walk up the front staircase to the lobby entry. Valet will be there to assist.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony begins at 4:00pm in the sunroom. We suggest arriving 20-30 minutes prior to park and find your seat comfortably.

Can I take photos during the wedding ceremony?

We have an “unplugged” ceremony (no phones, no cameras). We ask that phones be placed on silent during the ceremony. However, you are more than welcome to take photos/videos of the rest of the night!

Can I post photos taken on social media?

We ask that you not place any photos until the day after our wedding.

What happens after the ceremony?

After we say ‘I do’, we welcome you to join us for cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres. The ballroom is adjacent to the sunroom (where the ceremony will take place). We will take our seats for dinner at ~6:00pm.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, we will be offering a full open bar and signature cocktails. Please plan accordingly to get home safely.

Can I smoke on the property?

The venue is a smoke free property. However, you are welcome to smoke outside of the venue.
