Pat &amp; I met years ago. I knew I wanted to know him as soon as I laid eyes on him. We dated off and on for a few years. Please understand, we were not free to be together as we were both spoken for &amp; we’re drowning our sorrows in alcohol and drugs. It was a drama filled relationship from the start. We went our separate ways.Fast forward 10 years…Pat messaged me on Facebook and I thought it was a joke. But I actually spoke with him and immediately remembered why I loved him. Further more, we were now both sober and in recovery!We started hanging out as friends but it didn’t take long for us to rekindle our romance. Today, we live a simple life. Sober. Full of family and friends. We are like peas in a pod. Best friends. I prayed to God that he would send me someone to love. I never imagined life could be so beautiful!
