We met through the Catholic Newman Center at West Chester University sometime in November, 2022. Our first conversation was at the yearly Newman Thanksgiving dinner. We sat across from each other. Mary was embarrassed because of how much Patrick was making her laugh. Clearly he planted some sort of seed.

In December, Pat walked Mary to the library one dark night. A woman this pretty should never walk alone. Later, Pat asked for Mary's number. It was a terrible and cold winter over text but somehow we made it through, and in the second week of the spring semester, we made it official.

In the early days, we enjoyed watching the Phillies and doing work together in the Newman library. We would seriously spend 4 or so hours just sitting down and talking every weekday until the summer.
