Our journey together has been a beautiful adventure spanning seven wonderful years, with nearly five of those years spent engaged (it’s about time, right?). Our story began in Kansas City, Missouri, where mutual friends brought us together, sparking an immediate connection. In those early days, you could often find us in Downtown Westport, cheering at Chiefs games, or attending any concert we could find.

When we met, Sarah had her two black cats, Binx and Bellatrix. Within a year, we added another furry baby to our family with Gibbs, our Tricolor Corgi. As Sarah completed her Masters in Public Health and prepared to start her career, we faced a pivotal decision: to stay in Kansas City or venture somewhere new. Embracing change, we took a leap of faith and moved to Phoenix, Arizona—a place neither of us had visited before but were excited to explore.

The journey to Phoenix was a memorable 17-hour drive filled with the sounds of our cats protesting (thanks to Patrick forgetting their meds) and countless flights for Sarah as she juggled work between Kansas City, Phoenix, and Atlanta. After a few months, we confirmed that the desert heat is indeed no joke. Along the way, we met amazing friends who have enriched our lives with cherished relationships.

In 2021, we celebrated becoming first-time homeowners (and possibly last-time homebuyers, given the interest rates). Since then, we’ve poured our hearts into making our house a home, filled with projects that reflect our personalities. Our family grew once more with the addition of Suki, our second Corgi, and most recently, Oakie, our new kitty.

And now, we are finally married! We eloped in Las Vegas at the Punk Rock Museum on September 21, 2024. We kicked off our wedding weekend with flash tattoos to commemorate the occasion, followed by a quick ceremony, lots of pictures, dinner with a show, and dancing late into the night.
