It was a hot and humid day in August 2020. Cara left NJ for the first time amidst the COVID lockdowns to trek into NYC for an outside date with Patrick. Despite the temperatures, Patrick wore khakis and and button up and was sweltering while Cara was comfortable in shorts and flip flops.

After enjoying drinks and snacks outside, when NYC curfew struck, Patrick started to walk Cara to the PATH station despite not wanting the conversation or evening to end. Luckily, they stumbled upon a small restaurant staying open a bit later and shared a bottle of wine and continued to bond over travel, love of learning and adventure.

One date turned into two which turned into a day of 'Footgolf' (don't worry Cara had to google that one too) and their first weekend trip to Hudson in January 2021 when the snow patrollers got COVID and closed the mountain...

One adventure after another filled with friends and family brought Patrick and Cara together to build a beautiful life in LIC and now NJ.

They are so excited to share their love story with friends and family and introduce many to a very special place.
