P&R met over a decade ago at a team camp in Odessa, Ukraine! Patrick was 16 years old and Ruslana was 13 years old. They exchanged numbers and began a close friendship that lasted for years to come. As the years past they had a few attempts at maintaining a long distance relationship. In 2012 Patrick returned to the United States and it seemed as if fate had separated them for good...until 2016 when Ruslana's family moved to the United States. There was an attempt to rekindle the relationship, but Patrick's had a combat deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The long distance relationship came to an end due to that extraordinary circumstance. Having parted ways and gone down different life paths Ruslana ended up marrying to another and had two beautiful children (Christian & Mia). Sadly her marriage ended due to broken vows on her spouse's side. Some years later Ruslana found Patrick out and reconnected with him, despite the years gone by they came to find that the spark between them had never fully extinguished. The flame of love was alive and burning brightly in their hearts.
