Sami Lampe - Maid of Honor -Older Sister of the Bride
PhD Candidate at the University of Illnois Urbana- Champaign becoming a Doctor in Musicology. They did everything together growing up. They were both Homeschooled and they both shared the one passion they both still do to this day and that is figure skating. She has been figure skating 26years and Theresa have been for 25 years. When Theresa was 3 years old and saw Sami learning how to skate she wanted to do it too. From that moment on they were known as the Lampe Sisters on Ice. Besides Skating Sami and Theresa have done so much more together like endless hours of Mario cart and Lego Indiana jones on the Wii, Watching Musicals together, and even when it was a nice spring or summer day out thee would have fun throwing the frisbee around outside but they also like traveling together they went all in one year to Chicago in January to to the Art institute where they both got to experience seeing all the cool different art areas of different art areas. Sami noticed Theresa liked the Monte and Van Gogh areas. That Summer they to Hershey Pennsylvania where Sami went on and Theresa watched on the ground the roller coaster that could go from 0 to 90 in the matter of seconds. They got to experience the sweetest amusement park ever together. They then traveled to Philadelphia together and walking the historic sites and museums and heading the 2nd biggest art museum in the US which was really cool because they got to spend it with each other and it also brought them back when they were both home schooled seeing history in the perspective was awesome. They then got to head to Virginia Beach together , touching the ocean, and jumping waves was awesome. Because they have never touched the ocean before but to be honest sharing that with Sami made the road trip even more awesome. Theresa would have to say her favorite travel with Sami would have to be when they went to New York City. They walked the streets of NYC with Sami it was like walking through Home Alone 2. Seeing all the amazing sites they showed in that movie like Rockefeller Christmas Tree and Ice Rink, The Fashion District, and even Central Park. Theresa would have to say her favorite moment was seeing Aladdin on Broadway. It wasn’t because the show was spectacular it was because Sami introduced her into to loving broadway musicals and performing them for Skating. Sami was able to embrace the moment of seeing something that felt like you were walking into a movie. Sami and Theresa graduated in 2018 Sami got her masters and Theresa got her undergraduate degree. They both started skating together in the club. It was amazing to have Sami and Theresa skate together in Janesville again. It was a long time since that happened since they were both skating at the Janesville Ice Arena. In 2019, Sami and Theresa did another sisters road trip, They were touring the Great Lakes. They’ve seen Lake Michigan, but never touched it like we did then. Theresa also had never seen an authentic windmill especially one from Holland the actually country. It was cool to experience including with Sami going to Europe the previous year. Then they Traveled across the boarder to Canada, they headed to Stratford Canada first on our journey. It was a super fun time to experience the Stratfod Shakespear Festival because they have never really seen many plays and seeing Merry Wives of Windsor it was cool on the adaption they took on this one. It was cool to see Billy Elliot and it was really cool because it was the first musical Theresa saw many transitions done on a musical set all at once. They also Saw Little Shop of Horrors and to be honest it was the first musical Theresa saw with catchy tunes like "Little Shop of Horrors," "Suddenly Seymore," or "Grow me." It was a different musical, but it was a fun one to see with Sami. They then made there Journey to Toronto, on there way they were on the hunt for waterfalls. When they found one they stopped and saw it and they actually followed the walking path that they hit a point they were actually on the top of it. Sami wanted Theresa to capture that moment with her camera which was so awesome. In Toronto, they went to the many places but Theresa's favorite places would have to be the CN Tower, The Arcade Bar, and the Beta Shoe Museum. Every place they went was a new experience but they loved it because they got to spend time together. Sami is an incredible, hard working, loving caring sister who I always pictured her being my Maid of honor when I got married. When Sami met Patrick last year, Theresa still remembers they hit it off really well because she remembers telling them both what each other was all about so its like they already knew each other.
Andrea Cavey - Bridesmaid- Good Friend and Skating Coach of the Bride
Andrea has known Theresa since she was 3 years old and started skating. She was one of the skaters that helped her first start skating 25 years ago. They did many of things together on the ice as JFSC members from Show appearances like the Boot Skate Benefit down in Rockford when she was about 4. Theresa's dad, sister, and Theresa were in the same show together with Andrea and when Theresa's dad needed back up for one of there performances they did, Andrea stepped up and helped. My dad with learning his part for one of the performances they did. 2 Years ago, Theresa contacted Andrea because she was seeking a new coach and from the first lesson she and she knew she was going to go further than thought and they not only became coach and student they became good friends. They were able to sit and talk about there skating pasts and they got to get to know each other and understand they had a friendship developing between each other. Andrea pushed Theresa more then she knew. She could do it and she said "just go for it" if you fall you fall you are attempting it and sticking with it. Back in 2023 for Spice on ice Theresa decided to back down memory lane for Andrea and she said I want to skate to "Go, Go, Joseph" from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat." It was a fun one as she remembers herself skating to and it was kinda a fun moment for her to relive. Andrea not only is her coach but she is also one of her good friends and understands how she see things visually in her skating. This last March she helped her fulfill her life long dream of going to Adult Sectionals and bringing home the bronze medal. After that when she knew someone was planning his next step she knew her skating coach was going to be one of her bridesmaids. Andrea knew Patrick was the fire to her ice skating career
Sarah Rhoades - Bridesmaid - Good Friend of the Bride
In my Spring term of 2017 at Herzing University, I was taking my online classes at Herzing I remember meeting 2 other fellow graphic design girls who have the same Passion as me to take the world by storm with design. One of my Fellow Classmates was named Sarah and was from Oak Creek. She is a very creative Graphic artist and showed her artistic flare when it came to the designs we did in class. I then remembered on my Blackboard her name was Sarah ( Zakula) Rhodes and so I looked her up on Facebook and I found her. I then realized I wanted to stay connected with her so I messaged her. Two days later, I got a message back from her and she then sent me a friend request. We stared messenger chatting and we were in other classes with each other by the time that November of 2018 came along I was designing my grad cap and put it up on Facebook and she commented that she will be at commencement in January in Madison ad Monona Terrace. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to meet her. Our Graduation Ceremony was the coldest day of the year we were checking in for commencement that is when I met her and her husband Jake. From that moment on Sarah and I developed a friendship because she helped with our business new logo and banner with what she thought of it. She and her husband Jake and Sarahs Step Son Jak came to see a couple of my Spice on Ice performances and loved seeing my passion on the ice. We then met up for my 28th birthday party and she met Patrick the first time it was a moment I will never forget and Sarah is truly someone that is a special and creative friend and can’t wait to have her celebrate with me and my other girls
Sage Scherzer - Bridesmaid- Good Friend of the Bride
Sage and I met in 2016 at Spice on ice and then in 2017 I became her coach. She was a hard worker and I remember taking her to her first competition. I also remember gifting her 2 of my old skating dresses to use. I was proud of the skater she became because she was showing me the stride she wanted to take for being a skater. In 2020, when we did our Spice on Ice during the pandemic, Sage came back to skating after taking some time away. She was being coached by my coach and was making more steps forward in her skating. We ended up talking over time and we also were working together on the ice on skills and we developed a friendship. With Sage I remember how much she wanted this in her skating career she was a fast learner. A year ago I was messaging her on Instagram and I said when Patrick and I take the next step I want you to be my brides maid because she is someone who shares the same skating stride I do.
