Julia and Pat met through Salmon and Serendipity at Occidental College, where Julia's family adopted him for many holidays throughout college. Dating rumors continue to run wild about them, but at present Pat continues to simply claim that Julia is an amazing, loyal, and beautiful friend.

Lucy is one of Sammy's oldest friends from middle school. They are trauma bonded through the challenges and embarrassment that come with being a middle school student. She is a ride or die type of friend that Sammy could not imagine living without.

While he happens to be located at the bottom of this page, this in no way speaks to his billing in the wedding or in the lives of Pat and Sammy. Len has been there since the P.S. began, and has helped us to grow as a couple through his earnest cheer, humor, and heart. We could think of no one better to help make our eternal commitment official.

Some say that she earned this title through nepotism. But Pat truly believes that Summer is the best twin that a twin could ask for. She was his inspiration and editor for his M.F.A., remains his Disney muse, and will always be someone he loves to adventure with.

Janna is one of Sammy's friends from high school. She will never let him forget when he threw up on her arm the morning after a long night out right before going to Disneyland. They also both become nauseous when they remember the time they made out on New Years in high school.

Pat's Galway Gal is epitome of kindness and fun. There are few people in the world who understand Pat as well as Macey, because she has similar instincts for care and for kids (maybe why they're both teachers, or massive nerds, we'll leave it to the audience to decide). If Pat ever has trouble answering the question "What Would Mr. Rogers Do?", he just replaces Fred's name for Macey's, and the answer becomes much easier to find.

Ilana and Sammy met in high school through mutual friends. Ilana is famously one of Sammy's most sane and level-headed friends. She and Sammy share their undying love for Bravo, trendy restaurants, and Mario Party.

John was once put through the ultimate Pat Exposure Experiment. For 10 months, John lived, commuted, and worked with Pat, meaning they spent just about every waking hour of the day together. Somehow John survived this with his sanity intact. On Pat's end, it gave him the feeling and the knowledge that he'd always have a friend in his corner to support him and uplift him whenever he needed, something he still values to this day.

Lindsey is one of Sammy's oldest friends from elementary school. Their parents still live down the street from each other. She is Sammy's go to for trying new restaurants and will always accompany Sammy in ordering a fancy drink at a fancy restaurant.

In the Spring of 2013, Morgan and Pat went through a bucket list of must-dos: Red Wings hockey, Disneyland, and finals-inspired, sleepless blanket making on the library floor. No matter how many places each of them has moved back and forth between since then, Morgan and Pat have always loved each other dearly. Morgan's boisterous love for people and animals, along with her ability to connect with any person she meets will always make Pat feel inspired and at home when he's with her.

Alex is one of Sammy's friends from college and was also his "big" in the LGBTQIA+ greek organization they were apart of. They instantly connected early on after Sammy transferred to UC Berkeley through their love for Drag Race and making the same annoying joke and/or reference over and over.

When she first got assigned to share middle school PE class with him, Emily found Pat very annoying, but she also defended him from bullies and appreciated his devotion to floor hockey. Eventually, studying abroad in Germany (pictured) helped solidify a bond that continues to strengthen through this day. Emily still helps make sure Pat never gets too crazy, but she's also willing to indulge it every so often too.

Max is another one of Sammy's friends from college. He is known for his love of movies, architecture, and dark humor. Sammy will never forget one of the darkest jokes he has ever heard which was from Max and you can ask him about it at the reception.

As their photo shows, Logan and Pat like to walk arm and arm together through life. Of course since they live on opposite coasts, they usually have to me more metaphoric about it. But even on opposite coasts, they still feel the connection that one only gets from true family. Logan is the strongest and kindest man Pat has ever known. The only man with hands the size of NBA player, a dog the size of a wolf, and yet a heart larger than both.

Jane is one of Sammy's friends from college and also one of his roommates after college. She is known for her eccentric outfits, strong work ethic, and piercing voice (as Sammy has described it). You will definitely hear her at the reception.

Emiko and Pat grew close as their time at Occidental grew to a close. They've shared many an adventure, switching between deep philosophical thoughts about life and simple reflections on the loveliness of Disneyland or Emiko's Obachan. Pat even got to officiate her wedding, which was so beautiful and perfect, it will be very difficult for Pat and Sammy to match.

Ashley is one of Sammy's friends he met through Jane. You know their connection is real because their TikTok feeds are almost identical. They are probably the only people who still get songs remixed with Cupcakke lyrics and still laugh.

Drew and Pat once drove 11,000 miles together through 17 different states. While that may have been their most grand adventure together, they've also shared mutual life moments as gay men who find solace in reading and writing. Drew's passion for life and word have always and will always impress Pat.

Kate is one of Sammy's friends from college who he also lived with after graduating. She is one of Sammy's favorite people to be around because she will laugh hysterically at all of his jokes whether the joke is funny or not. Strike up a conversation with her at the wedding to boost your ego!

Courtney was the very first person Pat met when he first got to Tampa. Since that moment, they've found nicknames, memories, and jokes that will keep them bonded forever. Pat loves Court's unendingly positive nature.

George is one of Sammy's friends from college. One of their most haunting memories involves getting on stage with Laganja Estranja twice at a club known as The Crib.

Ash is the second sister that Pat never knew he needed, but which he's endlessly grateful to have found. For years she tolerated his tackle hugs onto the couch and endless jokes, while also helping to teach him how to appreciate delicious food (or actually seasoning his own cooking). Ash inspires Pat to relax and enjoy life's best things, of which she is of course one.

Evan is one of Sammy's friends from college. They were also roommates after college. They both quickly learned that Evan is the tidier of the two which was a surprise to no one.

Anthony is one of Sammy's friends from work. They quickly learned that they are almost the same person and have often been mistaken for each other at work. Whether it's music, TV, or opinions on situations at work, they always mentally connected as if they share the same brain.

Coco loves three things with all her heart: her dads, her sister Stubby, and tennis balls. She can't wait to be a part of the ceremony. The I-Dos count for her too!

Stubby originally requested to stay for the buffet dinner, but she's relented to just get some leftover churros instead. She has been told that Pat and Sammy are the stars of the show, but remains confident that her star will outshine them both.

The Gardens of the World is privately owned and operated by the Hogan Family Foundation.&nbsp;The 4.5-acre cultural landmark features 5 different gardens representing England, France, Italy, Japan and the unique California Mission Courtyard. Take a stroll along the pathway that leads around the Gardens to enjoy the amazing variety of plants, flowers, and water features.
