Our story began in August 2021, in a way that neither of us could have predicted. Jake, a charming coach from Conway, South Carolina, and Patty, an attorney from Houston, Texas, had each embarked on unique paths in life. At one time, Patty was living in Charleston, South Carolina, while Jake was based in Houston for coaching. Little did we know, our paths were destined to cross in a rather unexpected way.

We met through online dating, a modern twist to finding love, and even though our hometowns were miles apart, our connection was immediate. It was fascinating to discover that while Jake was coaching in Houston, I was just a short drive away from his hometown in Charleston, South Carolina for law school. Our conversations from the beginning were filled with laughter and mutual interests. From the moment we met, it felt as though we had known each other forever.

Fast forward to May 29, 2023, when Jake proposed at the iconic Pineapple Fountain in Charleston, South Carolina. It was a perfect blend of our two worlds and an unforgettable moment in a place that had come to mean so much to us both.

Our wedding is set to take place on February 22, 2025, in Charleston, South Carolina where our journey together and our engagement began. We now share our lives with our two adorable puppies, Fitz and Beau, in Houston, Texas, where our story continues to unfold.
