Our Wedding

From the moment Pauly got Rachel’s number they were inseparable. The stars were already aligning. He had recently relocated from Brooklyn, NY to the Fort Myers, FL area. Where Rachel’s family has been vacationing and planning on moving to for years. From those first few conversations in April of 2022, to Pauly “coming to visit his brother Mike” one month later in May (but really he was coming to meet Rachel)… he would find himself really liking it here in Ohio. Only a few months into dating, their families thought they were crazy moving in together so soon. But Rachel and Pauly knew the long distance relationship wouldn’t last and why not try it?! In June, Pauly had gone on vacation with Rachel and her family to Fort Myers Beach &amp; Rachel was able to meet his family while down there. By mid-July, Pauly was back in OH for Rachel’s dad’s 50th surprise party. A month later, the two of them would find themselves driving down to FL for the weekend to pack up most of Pauly’s belongings and move in together in their little apartment in Norwood, where their lives together would truly start. Over the years, Pauly and Rachel have experienced a lot of losses and life changing events, but it has only made them closer and stronger. Their love grew as they relied on each other to get through it all. And they both know now that they can get through anything together. When Pauly asked Rachel what she wanted for Christmas this past year, she said she wanted a ring. Thank God he listened and was ready to take that next step together. Thanks to the help from both of their families and friends, Pauly asked Rachel to spend the rest of their lives together on  Christmas morning &amp; it couldn’t have been more perfect for them.

Below is the link for discounted room rates at Diamondhead blocked off under Smith-Abraham wedding, which is where the wedding will be held. There will automatically be a date range pre-selected, you do NOT have to book those dates specifically, they are just a suggestion from the resort. If you are going to stay at Diamondhead for the discounted wedding rate you do have to book a minimum of two nights if you plan on staying Friday June 4th &/or Saturday June 5th! Wanna go fishing while you’re in town for the wedding? Captain Paul is your guy! He is a dear friend to the family and will take you out for a great day on the water whether you’re catching fish, looking for dolphins and manatees, or just enjoying being on the boat.

Times Square in Fort Myers Beach is a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly hub at the north end of Estero Island, known for its beachfront shops, restaurants, and the iconic pier, offering a lively atmosphere with outdoor dining, live music, and street performers. Its a central spot for beach access, souvenir shopping, and enjoying sunsets, though it can get crowded and parking can be challenging. The area has been rebuilding after Hurricane Ian, with many businesses returning.

Where beachy cocktail meets semi-formal. The ceremony will be on the beach, followed by cocktail hour with a rooftop bar vibe &amp; reception indoors. We recommend light elegant attire, linen pants, airy dresses. Footwear will be difficult in the sand, so please opt for wedges (if you’re feeling frisky), or better yet dressy sandals/flats.
