We first met in a hotel room in 2015 after a New Years Eve concert, both of us were following around our favorite artist at the time and had a dozen mutual friends. We briefly spoke, however we didn't connect again till years later.

In 2017 Taylor messaged Paul on Facebook, trying her best to strike up conversation, commenting on how funny she thought his memes were. After a few attempts (and Paul initially swerving Taylor) they began to speak every day via text message. The texting soon turned to phone calls, and those phone calls soon turned to FaceTime video for hours every single day. Eventually they decided it was time to spend physical time together. Paul had recently graduated college and was looking for his first post-grad job, and Taylor was living in upstate New York, a successful restaurant manager.

Paul, being the type to dive in head first, bought a 5!!!!! day trip to visit Taylor. On their first first date, Taylor took Paul to a couples sensory deprivation tank. Things felt so real and raw, she ended up telling him she loved him on that very first trip. After he left, he immediately bought a return trip for a month later.

A few months after the first date, Paul got a job at CBS in San Francisco, and moved across the country - putting their new relationship in uncharted territory. After 9 months of back-and-forth flights, longing, love, and the misery of long distance, Taylor and Paul made the decision to have her move to San Francisco and start a new life together. The entire time of their long distance, Paul read Taylor one of her favorite stories every night before bed, The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. It took months as Taylor would fall asleep sometimes minutes into him reading.

Since moving in together we've traveled the world, both quit our "dream" careers in Digital Marketing & Food Service Management to start on our real passions of marine biology & music. We've had two cats, Satan & Peanut (RIP), and also adopted a Shiba Inu named Sushi - creating a beautiful and loving family. We survived COVID in a tiny 450 square foot apartment in San Francisco, hiked the Dolomites, visited many cities in Italy, UK, and Mexico.

Our time in San Francisco was beautiful, Taylor found joy and passion in trying new food, travel, and hiking the limitless redwoods & sea cliffs of Northern California. Hiking became a pastime we enjoyed together and built our relationship through. Our passion of food also brought us to try dozens of new cuisines, many Michelin star restaurants, and have endless bonding experiences over a hot meal. They are very excited to invite you into their little slice of heaven.

There was a specific hike in Marin County (north of San Francisco) that they frequented as our safe space, watching the summer solstice, going on our good days, and also taking sick days and visiting it on our bad mental health days. The hike ended at a tree overlooking the Pacific ocean, a mile above the water on a giant sea cliff.

Eventually, Paul l proposed at that same spot by etching a hole into The Hobbit to fit Taylor's ring. A complete intimate full circle moment that neither will ever forget.

We return to a Redwood grove in Berkeley to celebrate our love that we grew among the trees of Northern California, to be married forever among our closest family and friends.
