During June 2021 NYC was finally relaxing restrictions and opening back up. Hoboken, New Jersey had been open for some time and was the place to be for young people ready to get back to normal. Despite making the trip across the Holland Tunnel the week before, Paul returned reluctantly at the request by his best friend.

Andrea was dogsitting and had just returned from a hiking trip in upstate NY, but at the persistence of her roommates decided to go out. She was having fun but was about to get ready to start heading home when she saw Paul. In her words "Muy papacito" and she knew she wanted to dance with him. After trying to get his attention and Paul stepped back she decided to go up to him and ask him to dance. Before Paul could respond his friend said yes for him. They danced all night and later went with all their friends to get pizza. For their first date Paul planned a walk down the Highline and then a tapas dinner, going out to a bar closeby after. By chance Paul's sister Rebecca was out with her friends and met Andrea on this first date.

Paul and Andrea were together every weekend since that first date until October. They both knew right away there was something special and were drawn to each other, from all the food, dancing, laughter, and love they can both say it was the best summer of their life.

Through getting covid together during New Years to traveling to 4 countries in one year these last 3 years have flown by so fast. This past year of marriage has been more amazing than we could have imagined and we are excited and blessed to be able to celebrate again now with all of Andrea's side, under the church, and in our favorite place, the beach.
