The story begins in December of 2015. Paul was a junior at Glencoe High School, and Brianna a junior at Piedmont High School. Enter Brianna’s best friend, Grayce, who enjoyed played Cupid! Grayce had many friends who went to Glencoe, Paul being one of those! She invited Brianna to go to a Glencoe basketball game with her in hopes that Paul and Brianna would fall in love. Brianna went to watch Paul, and her first impression of him was that he had wild hair! After the game was over, Paul and Brianna were too nervous to speak to one another. Paul’s first impression was that Brianna was quiet and beautiful. He also noticed she was wearing vans which he was a fan of, but it also scared him because he thought that might mean she was aggressive? LOL. Luckily, the night didn’t end there! A big group of people went to eat at Zaxby’s together. After Zaxby’s, the group went to Paul’s house to meet his new lab puppy, Tate, who is 9 years old now. Paul thought that Brianna was really quiet, but that didn’t stop Paul from talking her ear off. By the end of the night, Brianna was smitten by Paul, although he would’ve never known by the way she acted that night.

After that night, Brianna felt like the ball was in her court. So, with Grayce’s advisement, Brianna decided to snapchat Paul a selfie at midnight on New Years Eve of 2016 with the caption “Happy New Years, Paul!” Finally, the ball was rolling! They took a lot of time getting to know one another and became best friends before they became boyfriend and girlfriend. If you read romance novels, their story would be a slow burn trope.

After high school, they both attended JSU where Paul became a nurse and Brianna became a teacher. In June of 2023, they both moved to Mobile where Paul would live with his best friend, Cole, and Brianna would live with her best friend, Rachel.

On November 3, 2023, Brianna’s other best friend, Maddie, came to town to spend the weekend and explore the area. Rachel invited Brianna and Maddie to “go to Fairhope” with her the next morning. On November 4, they drug Brianna out of bed and told her she needed to wear a dress because they wanted to look cute. Instead of driving to Fairhope, Rachel and Maddie drove Brianna to Avenue of the Oaks at Springhill College where Paul was waiting with a bouquet of flowers and a diamond ring. It’s their favorite day they’ve ever had! They’ll get married on June 7, 2025 and are so excited to spend the rest of their lives together!
