Charlottesville-Ablemarle (CHO) is the closest airport, but very small, and will likely require a connecting flight through a city such as Charlotte, Atlanta, or Washington, D.C. It is a twenty-five minute drive from CHO to downtown Charlottesville. Taxi service is available from CHO. Ubers are infrequent, especially late at night. Richmond (RIC) is the closest big airport, but will require a rental car or car service. It is an hour and fifteen minute and easy drive from RIC to downtown Charlottesville. There are direct flights available from most major airports to RIC.

Yes! The Amtrak station is centrally located in Charlottesville and about half a mile from the Downtown Mall, venue, and hotels. Train routes include DC, Philly and NY. If you drive to Charlottesville, most hotels offer parking for a fee.

Not if you stay at a hotel near the Downtown Mall (Fairfield Inn & Suites, Home2 Suites by Hilton), as the venue is within a short walking distance. However, if you want to go for a hike, visit Monticello, or go to wineries, you will need a rental car.
