Wedding Day

Wedding

Reception

It was September of 2015 and the Mets had just clinched their spot in a post season that would prove to be most heart wrenching, but most memorable. Conversation sparked over a shared fondness of mini golf, and a shared competitive edge. A date was planned at Pier 25 in Tribeca where the mini golf rivalry could be put to rest (although it is continuing multiple countries and over a year later). Her: I remember that night was the first really cold fall night of the year and though it was quite crisp, the sky was clear and bright. We must have been having fun because I don't ever remember being cold outside on the golf course! I was immediately drawn to his warm smile and jovial but serious attitude on the course. Him: I debated with coworkers bringing my actual putter because I thought it would be hilarious. They vetoed it but when I told her, she said it would have been funny. That's when I knew that she was special. After 18 holes and a winner finally named, (Her: was there any doubt?? I have extensive family history in mini golf. Him: I obviously let her win!) we hung around for a drink on a nearby docked sailboat with Lady Liberty twinkling in the distance. Our following dates consisted of bowling, biking in Central Park, watching good and bad moments of the Mets post-season, and a scavenger hunt through the West Village (we won, of course). Her: I knew with our dates there would always be fun, adventure, and teamwork and from there I began to get quite attached. Him: Each time we were together, I had more fun, and I just wanted to spend more and more time together.Over the following months, time together became greater than time apart. We got to meet each other's families, celebrate the holidays (Him: I got to build a Lego Menorah. Her: I hid a Bengal's ornament on a die-hard NY Giant fan's Christmas tree), see an opera, ski in -25 degree weather, jet away to Bermuda, play more mini-golf, take trips to the NY Botanical Gardens, celebrate birthday's in untoppable ways, and... move in together. Him: I was so excited, I even broke down some of my LEGO sets!A year passed and after spending this past Thanksgiving separately with family, we were very much looking forward to enjoying the weekend together. Paul arrived bright and early and convinced Maura out of her pajamas and out for a post-Thanksgiving run. We ran through the beautiful crisp, fall morning and came upon a long dock out to Lake Hapatcong. We decided to walk out on the dock where Paul completely surprised Maura, getting down on a knee, and proposing. Her: I remember the stillness and quietness of the lake; it was just us, just that moment, and it was perfect. Him: I don't think my heart rate has ever been higher on a run in my life. We are absolutely ecstatic to begin our life together as husband and wife and we are so blessed to be surrounding by such wonderful and loving family as we do. See you in October!!Unfortunately, the story did not end quite as well for the Mets.

From the moment we met during my sophomore year at Ohio U, Nadia took me in with such a warm heart. It is hard to express just how important her friendship has become to me over the years. We both shared a dream of moving to NYC after graduation and we helped each other reach that goal. We shared some wild and crazy college times (we'll save the stories for the speech!) as well as calmer and somber moments. I know we will always be by each others' side in life so it is only fitting that she stand beside me on this special day.

Nadia Hile-Harrison

Joe and I have been best friends since essentially birth. We have been through it all together ( to the point where I'm afraid of his wedding day speech). Despite spending our whole adult lives in separate cities, he is, has and always will be like a brother to me.

Joseph Ardito

My sister in law and newly mother to my first niece! Dana has become a sister to me in every sense of the word. She has been with us every step in helping us plan for our special day.

Dana Hudson

Josh was my freshman year roommate in college. We drove each other crazy and never lived together again, but he has always been a huge source of support, guidance and inspirationto me both personally and professionally.

Joshua Cotton

I am so looking forward to calling Helena my sister. Helena has been most welcoming and generous to me and I truly appreciate her friendship. We both share a love of travel and I am looking forward to some family adventures together!

Helena Santini

I couldn't ask for a better brother in law than Nate. We've been to the top of climbing walls and the top of mountains in the coldest of weather, and I look forward to our continued adventures together as family!!

Meghan Hughes- Livermore

Justin was my first cube-mate at Animoto. Over five years later, I like to think I brought him out of his shell :). Now as my boss and friend he serves as a source of sanity and hilarity in my everyday life.

Justin Cataldo

It is hard to express the bond that I have with both Meghan and Beth. My longest friends; we have loved each other in our purest, and sometimes most awkward, high school days. We became inseparable once we all ended up on the same side of the Oakette kickline and have been finishing each others' thoughts and sentences ever since. From marching in 0 degree Christmas parades to marching down the aisle, I am so blessed to share my life with these ladies no matter the distances between us.
