Mexico, Houston, and Everything After

We met in Mexico City in the summer of 2021, when Jonathan was visiting for a few days, which would unknowingly change everything. From the very first conversation, something clicked — a connection that felt effortless, captivating, and meant to be. What followed was a beautiful rhythm of airports and reunions: He would fly to Mexico, she would visit him in Houston, and somewhere in between the flights, texts, and weekend escapes, the distance quietly became just another part of our story — not a barrier, but a thread weaving us closer together. On May 27, 2022, we officially became a couple. Since then we've shared countless memories: Road trips and holidays, homemade dinners and spontaneous adventures, slow mornings and long walks that turned into deep conversations about life - a life we wanted to build and share. All the little extraordinary things that slowly start to feel like home.

In January, 2025, Jonathan proposed — a moment full of joy, laughter, and love. And on March 14, 2025, we were civilly married at the Houston Courthouse, knowing this was just the beginning.

This is just one chapter of our story — but it’s a beautiful beginning. ...and we can't wait to write the next one with all of you by our side.

We want you to enjoy Mexico City to the fullest! It’s a vibrant, welcoming place, but like any large city, it’s important to stay aware and take a few basic precautions. Here are some friendly tips to help keep your trip smooth and safe:

Transportation➺ Use Uber or DiDi: These ride-sharing apps are safe, convenient, and reliable.➺ If taking a taxi, only use those from hotel lobbies or official taxi stands (“sitios”).➺ Avoid walking alone late at night, especially in unfamiliar areas. Neighborhoods to Explore — and to Avoid➺ Feel free to walk and explore in Polanco, Roma, Condesa, Coyoacán, and Centro Histórico (during the day). These are lively and beautiful areas.➺ Avoid traveling to or through Tepito, Doctores, Iztapalapa, or La Merced, especially at night.➺ Always ask your hotel or host if you’re unsure about a specific area.
