Where should we stay?
The wedding events will be held at Casa Gitano, a small boutique hotel on the beach. Tulum is known for its boutique hotels, so if you can, we highly recommend you stay there with us!
We have blocked the entire Casa Gitano property, where there are plenty of rooms for all of our guests at a special discounted rate.
How do I book my room?
Head to the “Travel” tab for the link to book your hotel room.
How much is lodging?
We were able to secure significantly discounted rates of $350 - $380/night (depending on which type of room you select, not including tax). This rate also includes complimentary breakfast.
If you are looking for a lower nightly rate, there are many inexpensive Airbnb or VRBO options to choose from in town. Please let Janelle know if you need any assistance finding one.
How do we get to Tulum?
The most inexpensive way to get to Tulum is by flying into Cancun International Airport and driving to Tulum from there. The hotel offers a driving service to and from the airport at an additional cost. Otherwise, there are many transportation options to get to Tulum. These will be added to the "Travel" tab as the dates get closer.
When should we book flights?
We recommend setting up a "Google alert" using Google flight tracking for the city you are flying from to determine the best time to book. As of 11/10/2024, prices are pretty typical for Seattle to Cancun round trip. Tracking will allow you to be notified via email when prices drop.
What should I wear to the wedding?
The ceremony and reception will both take place at Gitano. The ceremony will be on the beach, and the reception will be at the restaurant and beach club. The reception venue is outdoors, and has both covered (restaurant) and uncovered (beach club) areas.
The dress code is formal, but practical for the beach! Think lighter, breathable fabrics that will keep you cool in the warmer weather. And for the ladies - opt for a block heel or wedge instead of stilettos.
If you like to color coordinate, the wedding colors are black and jewel-toned accents of red, orange, purple, copper, & green.
Do you have a registry?
We will not be setting up a registry. Please, no gifts! Your time, effort, and generosity in joining us for this special weekend is MORE than enough. We can't wait to celebrate with you.
For those who are not able to attend, your love, support, and prayers over our marriage and family are greatly appreciated.
