Our Story

Love at First Swipe

As COVID was winding down, we all felt a little stir-crazy. Meeting people had never been easier. It all started with a swipe, some playful banter, and an appetizer at the worst Mexican restaurant you can imagine. He showed up late just in time to see she had ordered a shot of tequila to kill her nerves. The service was so bad that it showed up right when he did. Never one to miss a punch-line or a good time, he ordered a drink to match.

First date night in: Payton made her favorite cocktail for the two - Old Fashioned's.

The couple's 4th of July tradition began: lake days and watching fireworks on the water at night. Shout out to Gayle & Alan for the longstanding invite.

This was the day Payton met Eugene's mom, Della, for the first time. She was nervous, but we're guessing it went well enough because now we're here!

The first Halloween was a hit. The couple met their friends, Tyann & Ken, for the annual Halloween party, and all four were wearing bald cap; someone google what the odds are for that.

Payton's first-ever Chief's game, and the first for the two as a couple. They attended another within recent years, but Payton doesn't remember accidentally cheering for the Raiders at that one.
