Matthew and I both attended Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. Our freshman year of college we had seminars next door to each other, one day his bizzare foods class invited my class over to try some of the things they made. There was a little bit of everything, however his professor brought me over to his dish where he had made silk worms. EW! I told him I would absolutely not be trying that. After that day we continued to talk here and there and of course went on a couple of dates. On March 8th 2020 he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!
