Finally! The long awaited info you’ve all been wondering about! Our wedding extravaganza is still a go for October 5th, 2024 (phew!) and we can’t wait to see you all! Just 26 more sleeps to go… not counting or anything, right?!

So – here goes:

Where:

The lush lawns of D’Aria wine farm in Durbanville - because if we're going to tie the knot, we might as well do it where the grass really is….. greener. No, really, the venue is actually called The Lawns at D’Aria wine farm! Park at the restaurant parking (follow signs for the Terrace and Botany) and then you’ll be guided to the ceremony location by the car guards. You guessed correctly – the ceremony will be at D’Aria too.

Time:

16:00 - because apparently, that’s when we start transforming into a grumpy old married couple. Not you guys though – none of you are grumpy old married people!

Dress code:

Semi-formal (no jeans or two tone shirts please!) So, channel your inner “I’m here for a good time and a free meal” look.

A reminder that it’s a cocktail party and not a sit down dinner, so we suggest no high heels for the ladies, as we will be on the lawn (literally!) for the ceremony and there will only be occasional seating in the venue - not a seat for every bum in the room.

For those not from the Fair Cape – be reminded that it can get pretty chilly in early October, so please do bring something warm to wear, as the venue is semi outdoors.

Yes – Karen is 100% over communicating here but that’s the kind of info she would want ahead of time and guesses that maybe other people would want to know these kinds of important details too! (Cue : Peet rolling his eyes!)

Gift Registry:

Here’s the scoop: after all these years, we’ve somehow managed to accumulate a small army of toasters, blenders, and gravy boats and enough towels to open a spa. We.Don’t.Need.More.Stuff. Seriously, we could start a museum of household appliances!

What we could find handy however, is a little help making our honeymoon dreams a reality! We’re talking about that romantic getaway where we can trade in our “survival” budget for a “let’s eat fancy food and not think about doing the dishes” fund. So, if you’d like to chip in to help us avoid a staycation on our parents' couch, we’d be eternally grateful! Feel free to sprinkle some love here :
