It was a late November evening 2018 in Philly. Chris had taken a trip down to Philly from Media, PA for a night out with his friends. Peggy had moved to Philly from Jacksonville just about three months earlier for grad school, and her close friend from home was in town visiting. As fate would have it, Peggy and Chris ended up at the same bar in Center City Philly that Friday night. Shortly after arriving to the bar, Chris spotted Peggy swing dancing to Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks with her friends (shoutout Natalie Lewis and Emily Sullivan!!) Soon afterwards, Peggy spotted Chris across the bar. After having a short conversation and exchanging numbers at the bar, Peggy and Chris kept in touch throughout the holidays. They met for their first date after Thanksgiving at Rosys Taco Bar over chicken tinga tacos and margaritas, followed by their second date at Helium Comedy Club (unaware that they had signed up for an extremely difficult round of Quizzo instead of a comedy show). Nevertheless, they bonded over the lack of trivia knowledge.


Four years later, Chris took Peggy for a walk out on the Schuylkill Trail on November 19th, 2022. Peggy couldnt be happier when Chris got down on one knee and popped the question! Currently living together in Springfield, PA, Peggy and Chris have spent the last five years trying new restaurants around Philly, traveling to new places, hiking, going to the beach at the Jersey Shore, watching every season of Below Deck, and building a life together. They cannot wait to celebrate on this special day with friends and family!!
