I knew of Scott long before we dated, but I simply knew him as the CVS guy. I frequented that CVS so often that this man has seen me at my best and worst long before our first date. My mom tried to get him to talk to me, but he told her "No". Then, years later my cousin Becky was getting married and I wanted a date to bring with me to her wedding. For months a mutual friend was trying to set us up on a date. We both kept saying "No". Finally, about 6 months later, we both decided to attend a blind date we thought was going nowhere at this little dive bar that has become so special to us (The White Horse). The first thing I said to him was "OMG you are CVS guy!!!" and he said "Yeah call me that one more time and this date is over" ..he had ordered us both shots before I walked in and to my horror it was the one spirit I absolutely despise (fireball). I did not have the heart to tell him I hated fireball so I drank them all night long and died a little more with each shot :) But what really ended up breaking the ice was he started choking on his bar food snack and I did not attempt to help him. I looked at him and casually said, Hi I need you to stop choking and save yourself because I simply do not know how to save you. He stopped choking and started cracking up, he just thought that was the funniest thing ever. After that we crashed a strangers birthday party and the rest is history.
