Michael and I both work in the mortgage industry. We met while working together. I was a mortgage loan processor; Michael was a mortgage loan underwriter and I processed mortgage loans for him. Michael worked in the same office area as one of my dear friends Jocelyn Simmons. Often, I would go into their office area to deliver paperwork to Michael or laugh and chat with Jocelyn. Michael was always very quiet, a stay to himself sort of guy. Still oftentimes, I could not help but notice that he would discreetly smile at the jokes Jocelyn, and I would sometimes make. That quietness about his personality attracted me. He reminded me of "Schroeder" from "Peanuts" with the Charlie Brown crew. Quietly sitting at his desk with his head held down, flipping through his paperwork intently focused on the job at hand. He said that he liked watching me bounce around the office with my swinging ponytail! When my dear grandmother Olean passed; he heard of the news and to express his condolences he encouraged everyone in the office to chip in and buy flowers for me, even though he knew very little about me. Shortly afterwards, I needed help moving into my new apartment. He offered to help, and we have been inseparable since that day! We both were unexpected in each other's lives at the time, but we were exactly what God intended. I will always love you, my dear sweet "Schroeder!" Thank you, sweetheart for being my Angel sent from Above! "You are my Sunshine!"
Michael caught the garter at my friends wedding approximately five months before he proposed to me! I guess you can say, "it was meant to be!"
