The Catholic Church teaches that the bread and wine are physically changed into the body, and blood of Christ. The whole Christ is truly present -- body, blood, soul, and divinity. The accidents of the bread and wine, or what we perceive of these substances, remain. This is why the eucharistic host still looks and tastes like bread, and the precious blood still looks and tastes like wine.
Should I go up to receive the Eucharist?
Are you Catholic?
• If no, then remain in your seat during communion.
• If yes, have you been to confession recently? Please consider going to confession before you receive the Eucharist.
What should I wear?
We ask that all our guests to be in semi-formal attire for the Nuptial Mass and reception.
Are children invited?
As much as we love your little ones, we have decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this will give you a chance to relax and enjoy the day with us. Thank you for understanding. Please reach out to Peter or Rachael if you have any questions.
