Cassie: I first met Peter while helping to plan his brother’s 30th birthday party in Colorado Springs. We ended up getting along really well, and next thing you know he moves to Stockton and starts coming out to my church’s prayer meetings!

Peter: We met while planning David’s surprise 30th birthday party years ago. At the time it wasn’t on my mind. I soon moved to Stockton, and when we started to plan 40 days of prayer and fasting she was the first person on board!

Cassie: I think Peter had always stood out to me because of his intense pursuit after the Lord, but I had honestly never thought much beyond friendship. I also was convinced Peter was celibate LOL. (He thought he was too) Two years and many prayer meetings later.. I remember realizing one day that I had never met anyone who loved Christ like he did, whose heart burned so similarly as mine for the things of God! I knew in that moment that I wouldn’t want to spend my life with anyone else. :)

Peter: We had spent a lot of time together for the California 40 and a prayer strike in East Asia. To honor and fully commit to the mission at hand, I didn’t entertain the thought of dating until completion of said tasks. After the trip, I realized that I would never meet someone as Christlike and wholly given to Him as Cassie. It was an opportunity I could not give up!

Peter: I planned a casual hangout in Monterey and told her I had a meeting later that night to throw her off. We had a picnic and walked along the beach in Carmel while her sister Silvia and friend Stephenny set up the proposal site. I asked her to close her eyes as we got close, and then got on one knee to ask her to marry me! She was completely surprised, and said yes!!

What are your favorite hobbies?
Cassie: Reading, piano, calligraphy, decorating, and meet-ups with people!
Peter: That’s too personal

Cassie: Probably better than Peter’s :-)
Peter: I’m complementarian

A: No one knows these things but the Lord
