ACCOMMODATION IN SZEGED

While Szeged usually has a lot of availability in its various hotels near the city center, as life would have it, the availability of hotel rooms / apartments is somewhat limited due to a big watersport event happening the same week.

With that in mind, we went ahead and booked a few apartments (think Airbnb) for our guests, that are close to the venue and are also affordable, to make sure that everyone who plans to attend the wedding will have a nice place to stay. Some of the apartments are in the same building (e.g., there are 6 apartments booked in one building, 4 in another, etc.) so you can be right next to your friends or family if you all decide to stay there. If you are interested in staying in one of the apartments I already booked, just reach out to us and we will help you with the rest.

However, there are many other great options online (e.g., see Booking.com), please feel free to book the place that looks best to you if you are looking for something else or prefer to stay in a hotel (e.g., in that case my recommendation would be Novotel Hotel Szeged, see more below).

I. APARTMENTS THAT I ALREADY BOOKED FOR OUR GUESTS

These apartments will not show any availability on Booking.com for June 13 – 16, 2024 because I already booked them to make sure we have enough accommodation close to the venue for our guests. Please take a look and let Petra know if you are interested in taking one of these available rooms and we will help you with the details. We can also modify the dates of the booking to fit your travel needs, it can be shorter than the 3 nights I originally booked.

1. Tisza Gyöngye Apartmanok (on the other side of the river, but only 10 min walk away from venue) – 6 apartments available

These apartments are located in a renovated brutalist building that is iconic to many people who grew up in Szeged, as it used to be a famous “disco” a long time ago. Nowadays, it hosts a well-known loft dining style fish soup restaurant (Szálka) and well as many newly constructed apartments with a modern interior overlooking the river. Close to a water park with pools and slides (Napfényfürdő Aquapolis Szeged).
