Our Wedding

Our story begins in May 2021.We first met when we were 18 years old in our young adult group. Christian and I hung out around the same people but we never really talked very often one on one. As a single girl, I was looking for love and Christian had kind of caught my eye. One day I was talking to Christian and I had been thinking that he was cute for a couple weeks now and I had brought up that I had been serving in kids ministry. He then proceeded to tell me that he had been meaning to sign up but he did not know where. As the seemingly slick and cool person that I thought I was, I then asked him if he wanted to give me his phone number so I could send him the link to sign up, all as a ploy for me to get his number so we could start texting. So I sent him the link, and I got no response. It was a good shot but I never really tried again after that. December 2021During this season of life, all of our friends from church had Disneyland Passes. All of our friends except one person, Christian. For months, everyone at YAM (Young Adults Ministry) had been trying to convince Christian to get a Disneyland pass but it never worked until finally in December something had changed. On December 10th, a big group of us decided to go to Disneyland all day. During these all-day trips people would come and go as they pleased or needed to but we would all make sure to meet up with one another. Not only was this one of our big trips with Young Adults but it was also Christian's first day using his brand new Disney pass. We originally drove out in the morning with two other friends, Ryan and Amanda and then we met up with more friends at the park. Later in the day, Amanda and Ryan needed to leave in order to make it to a birthday party they were going to and Christian and I were talking about how Christian was going to go with them because he drove with them even though he is not close with the birthday girl. Meanwhile, I had already made other arrangements for a ride home so that I could stay at Disney longer with other friends. As Christian and I were talking, I invited him to stay completely oblivious to the fact that he had liked me at the time. Christian, first day of having a pass, after refusing for months because he doesn't even like Disneyland stayed for the entire day from opening till closing- all because he liked me. Throughout that entire day it had never even crossed my mind that he could liked me.
