Peyton and Jon’s journey began at Illinois State University, where they first connected during her sophomore year and his freshman year. What started as a friendship in a small group playing volleyball quickly blossomed into something much deeper.

As the semester went on, they spent more and more time together. Jon even found himself studying at the library just because she was there. Their bond grew stronger, and by the end of the school year, it was clear they had something special.

After final exams, Jon took a trip to Italy with his family to visit his sister. Little did his family know, they would hardly see him! With his face buried in his phone, Jon made every effort to stay in touch with Peyton, and she was just as eager to connect — even FaceTiming him while still loopy from having her wisdom teeth removed.

When Jon returned from Italy, they knew it was time to make things official. On May 27th, 2018, they began their beautiful relationship. Fast forward many years later (Wayyy too many years as Peyton would say), Jon decided to pop the question on the very same day they moved into their newly purchased condo. Of course, Peyton said yes, and together they started a new chapter full of excitement.

Now, as they look ahead to their future, Peyton and Jon are beyond excited to marry each other and see what the future has in store for them and their daughter (dog) Cali.
