The Story of Peyton & Rilee

In September of 2018, I received a sweet message on Instagram from a random boy (who would eventually be my husband) after posting about how hard my first year of high school had been. He was telling me how everything would work out and not to let people get to me. We did not talk much after that until later in 2019 we reconnected, thanks to his mom who told him to "call that pretty blonde girl!" We clicked immediately and we were inseparable. At only 14 and 16 years old, we spent every single day together. He got me through high school, many friendships, nursing school, and through some of the best and worst times of my life. Peyton clicked with all of my family and friends. My parents got the son they never had lol! We have created so many memories together and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives making more!!! On September 9th, 2023, Peyton planned the proposal of my dreams. I always told him that I wanted to pick the ring, have my whole family there, and have a photographer. He absolutely outdid himself. I thought I was throwing Peyton the BEST 21st birthday party anyone ever had. My mom was at his mom's house for hours working on decorations and they were sending me pictures of his cake and everything in between. I was so worried about getting Peyton to "go on a date" in the middle of an Ole Miss Football game lol. If you ask anyone that was there, I didn't realize we were getting engaged until I saw the big letters and balloons!!! It was nothing short of perfect and I wish I could relive that day every single day. I am so excited to be Peyton's wife and spend the rest of forever together!!!!

From Rilee:

As we look back on the journey that brought us to this moment, I can only think of how blessed we were to find each other at the time we did. It's hard to believe that it's been five and a half years since we first met, and yet, it feels like we have known each other forever. From our first date to our countless adventures together, every moment has been a reminder of the love and connection we share. As we are getting ready for our big day and the next chapter in our lives, we are filled with excitement. We are so unbelievably grateful for the laughter, the tears, and the memories we have shared, and we can't wait to see what the future holds. We are thrilled to share this journey with our friends and family and we can't wait to celebrate with you all on our special day.

Our Story

My best friend my entire life, literally, we are first cousins only 10 weeks apart. She is my go-to for everything, my sister, and the person that understands me more than anyone. I have dreamed of her being my MOH forever. I couldn't do it without her!!!

Born 3 days apart, Carl has basically been my brother since birth. He is my 2nd cousin and I can count on him for anything. While in grade school, we would spend every break together and we hated to see it go.  Living in Southaven for the entirety of his life, it has made it difficult to make time for each other as we have grown older, but our relationship has never faded because of it. "Just bring us 40 soft shell tacos"- Peyton

I always have heard you make some of your best friends in nursing school, and I definitely did. I had microbiology with Riley the semester before nursing school, and I had to BEG her to go to ICC. I am so thankful that she did, there is no one else I would want to study, laugh, and cry with.

We have been friends since 2nd grade, but we did not become as close as we are today until we became next door neighbors in the 8th grade. He has been my roommate for over 2 years now. When I get to telling my kids stories, I can guarantee you he will be right in the middle of it. "Did you turn your life 360 off" - Peyton

My other built in best friend. Lauren is my biggest role model. She is my older cousin that I have always looked up to. I will never forget hanging out with her and her friends and wanting to do everything they did. They all treat me like their little sister and I could not be more thankful. How did I get so lucky with first cousins?!?!?

Emily and I had mutual friends all throughout school, but did not connect until starting college. She is the sweetest person you will ever meet and she will give you the shirt off of her back. When I am around Emily I feel like we haven't been apart for a minute. We immediately clicked and I am so glad to call her one of my best friends.

Braxton and I became friends when we were around 10 years old and have clicked ever since. We grew up playing ball together and hanging out every weekend (that Heather said I could have company). I know I can always call him if I get in a bind or if I ever need anything. - Peyton

Carley and I starting working at the bank a week apart. She always has the best stories and is one of the funniest people I have ever met. Hunter and Peyton clicked immediately, so it was perfect! I am so thankful to have someone like "Carl" in my life!!! We love her, Hunter, and Amzie Rae!!! - Rilee

Hunter and I have been close friends since he moved to Amory in 4th grade. We have always cut up together and like the others, if I ever need anything, I know I can always count on my brother to come through. I know he will always support me through whatever. - Peyton

Hunter Jones

For a long time, if you saw Mia Grace, you saw Rilee Blake. We were "RB and MG!" We may not see each other often, but we will make sure to facetime and catch up, especially if it is about Taylor Swift!!! I am so proud of Mia and watching her live out her hair dreams. These are the days we dreamed about as 8th graders. I always know I can count on Mia no matter what! - Rilee

John Thomas, Big wet, May- T. Oh the memories that have been made with this goofball. We didn't become friends until my sophomore year of high school, but we have not looked back since. I stayed at his house every single weekend for a solid 2 years and he became a brother to me. No matter the issue if I called, he is there. "Im sorry I didn't get you a Christmas present this year". - Peyton

Livi and I became friends through Mia. We went to school together for one semester, so we didn't really become friends. Mia invited Livi to my 13th birthday party and we have been besties ever since. Livi will send me 30 minutes worth of videos updating me on her life at college. When we see each other it is just like we are in junior high again. - Rilee

Alex and I met through a mutual friend at the Amory Railroad Festival sometime in middle school and we have been best friends ever since. He works out of town for Eutaw Construction and on the Saturday of the engagement, he worked all day in Greenville, Mississippi and still made sure that he was back in time for my big moment. That should tell you a enough about our relationship. "Alex what is that smell?" - Peyton

Katie and I were friends through high school, but got closer during A&P II with Mrs. B!!!! (She is still our favorite!) In that class, we decided to become roommates at ICC. She always knows how to bring a good time and cheer me up when I am down. I know I can text Katie for anything and she will be there! - Rilee

Jake is Rilee's first cousin. Ever since Rilee and I got together in 2019, we have made lots of good memories together. The ultimate family man, he is always going to make sure that his people are taken care of. The most competitive person I have ever met, be ready for some sort of competition when we get together. I have known Jamie for a long time, since she worked at the bank with my mom. We got close when I started working there the summer after senior year. Jamie sure knows how to keep life interesting and keep me entertained. She is so encouraging and one of my biggest supporters. I am so thankful for her and Bentlee!!! - Rilee

He has been one of my best friends since 2nd grade. We had our group of Drew, Austin, and Braxton that we hung out with every weekend for years. We would find the craziest things to do and had the best time doing them. Between our hide and seek in the dark, food fights, and terrorizing the Boulevard in Amory, we made some awesome memories during our childhood. I love soccer. - Peyton
