Peyton and Layne's story began with a first date after meeting on Bumble (a dating website)! Peyton was extremely hesitant to meet a stranger from online, but Layne was persistent, and it ended up being the start of something amazing. After the first date, Peyton and Layne became inseparable. Date nights making projects, putting together puzzles, movie nights, baseball games, and so many more. After 3 months, Layne FINALLY asked Peyton to be his girlfriend, and her response was "It's about dang time!".

And so, they began their lives together. They got a dog together and began going to dog parks. Peyton began her career as an RN and Layne started physical therapy school. They moved into a home together in Denham Springs near his family. They grew more and more in love and spent as much time together as possible.

2 years later, Layne and Peyton went on weekend trip with 2 of their good friends to Toledo Bend. They had a great time swimming, drinking coffee, fishing, and visiting. Little did Peyton know, her mom's wedding ring was in Layne's pocket all weekend waiting for the right time to pop the question. On the last night, after Peyton had showered and was in her pajamas, the group ate dinner. While cleaning up, Layne asked Peyton to go outside and help him clean the grill. Peyton of course was hesitant because she was clean and did not want to go outside and get sweaty again, but Layne insisted. While outside, Layne pulled and piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Peyton. At this point, she knew what was happening and got nervous (and sweaty). As she read the sweet poem he wrote for her, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him.....and she said YES!
