Scene 1: The Introduction…

It began September 2016, when Phoebe and Marvin were in a meeting to discuss upcoming details for an Annual Charity Ball. Phoebe proceeded with asking a question and Marvin turned in his seat and looked Phoebe directly in her face amused by her questions and project management knowledge. Over the years, they became friends and would work together along with others on future Charity Ball projects.

Scene 2: Through The Fire…

Over the years, Phoebe and Marvin talked frequently helping each other through tough life situations. Through much prayer, Marvin officially asked Phoebe out on a date. Phoebe was skeptical but finally agreed. This was the beginning of something beautiful…

Scene 3: I’m Down On Bending Knees…

August 13, 2023, at S2 Bistro Phoebe hosted a birthday party for Marvin with a few close friends and family members. Little did Phoebe know, Marvin had plans of his own on this day! Marvin asked Phoebe to come to the front of the room and help him give thanks to all the guests from coming to celebrate his birthday. Later during his remarks, he thanked Phoebe for putting together the party and then had the DJ play “Baby Will You Love Me” by MAJOR. The DJ had issues downloading the song, which led Phoebe to be confused by the song choice and why Marvin would ask the DJ to play the song. All Phoebe wanted to do was give her remarks and sit down so the party could continue. After staring at the DJ for a few minutes, the DJ finally got the song to play. Phoebe turn towards Marvin again and low and behold Marvin pulled out a ring, got down on one knee and asked Phoebe to marry him while he lip-singed the following…
